Pebble Beach Academy of the Arts is a wonderful boarding school located in Pebble Beach, California. Outside, it seems like the perfect, most peaceful school. It seems elegant and precise. It seems like a dream come true. After all, it is a school for the gifted and talented. It teaches the fine arts - drawing, drama, writing, modeling, singing, dancing, musical arts. It's a dream come true for teens with big plans for their career, and a great oppertunity for parents to ship their children out to a boarding school. The school is co-ed, and accepts any teen aged thirteen to nineteen to teach them the education they need for such artsy careers.
But what most people do not know is that the drama here is just like at any where else in California, possibly worse. It has it's stoners, the troublemakers, the preps, the jocks, the goths, the emo kids, the outcasts, the nerds. It's full of stereotypes and cliques -- and drama.
We are just opening, and so, for this reason, we need your help. We need you to join, be active, and be awesome. Don't spam, follow the rules, fill out the app. It's simple, really. The plot we have set up here can be really fun, but only if you make it so. So please be active and awesome. Now, one more thing. We have two job openings on the site already: professors and student journalists. To sign up as a professor, use the 'Professor' application when you join, instead of the student one. If you are a student that is interested in taking part in the site's journalism oppertunities, check out the school newspaper category. Also a bit of information for new members: read the rules before you sign up. When you sign up, your username must be your character name. For example, I would sign up as AMANDA CALHOUN. Just like that. Then once you've signed up, fill out your application, and then go off to the claims board. And then ta-da! You are free to RP! =D

once upon a time...
okay, so i'll try to keep this short and sweet. if you don't read these
before you join, there are no excuses. join with your character's first and last
name in all caps. if you made a mistake, do not panic. just pm an admin and
they will fix it for you. there are no limits on characters, though try not to make
something like four girls and only one guy. try to even it out. we have a pretty
short app that needs to be filled out before you post anywhere else. there is
no minimum word count, but try your best to get 100 words, which is about
a decent sized paragraph or two. our rating here is M for mature, so keep
that in mind when you join. respect all members and staff, and have fun.
a reminder that all common roleplaying rules are in effect. this means no
godmodding, spamming, one liners, etc. will be tolerated. let's make this a fun
experience for everyone and stick to the terms of service that invisionfree has
provided us. read those if you need to. one of the major things that will be in
effect on that is the no pornographic or illegal activity promotion. also it is an
invisionfree rule that you must use english.
marrige is currently not permitted, but pregnancy is. try to not go into too
much detail with the birthing and making of the child. all threads like those need to
have a [MATURE] label on the subject line of the thread. no excuses. also, for
pregnancies, please PM a staff member. this is so we can control what is
happening on the site. we don't need all of the females out there having kids.
also, it's be extremely nice of you to make your thread titles in all capitals, just to
make the site look nice. ;]
