Checking things out

As Mandy was sitting in the hall waiting for a friend, or at least someone to talk to. "I don't have any friends here, this totally sucks." Mandy got up and walked torwards the library. She peeked through the library door to check if anyone was in threre. A girl that looked about the same age as here was sitting at the back of the room, reading. Mandy walked over to go talk to her.

Nicole looked up as she heard foot steps moving torwards her. She looked back down at her book, pretending she hadn't seen the girl.

Mandy walked closer to the girl. "Hey, my names Mandy." Mandy smiled as the girl lifted her head.

Nicole placed her bookmark into her book and slowly closed her book. "I'm Nicole, Nicole Smith." Nicole looked at the girl in embarassment. "Your beautiful." thought nicole. "I'm a 6th year Gryffendor, and you are."

"Me too, i have seen you in the Gryffindor commom room. I don't have many friends here i usually just you know, keep to myself, and i don't get involved with anyone, only if they come up to me. I mean it's kinda pathetic, i have been here for 6 years and i don't have many friends." Mandy looked down at her toes. "I mean, this place is really different from home, i had lots of friends at home, i was the popular girl at home, and now i barely know anyone. I really miss home, but i also like it here, even if i don't have friends.

"I know exactly how you feel, i only have a few friends too, i don't just go out and try to meet people, i just let it happen. I can tell that we are gonna be friends, good friends." Nicole looked up and smiled at Mandy.

"Well, i guess if i'm in the library, i should be reading." Mandy went down the isles looking at books. She finally picked one and then walked over to the table that Nicole was sitting at and gently sat down sideways in the chair nnext to Nicole. She swung her beautiful brown hair over her shoulder and opened the book. She looked down at the book and started to read. half a minute later she flipped the page.

"I need to go, but I'll see you later, okay. I need to go to class, i don't want to get in trouble again. Then Mandy walked out of the library and ran down the halls to get to her classroom. Halfway to her classroom Mandy realized that she had forgotten her books in the library. So Mandy had nothing to do, but run back and get them. When she got to the library she saw Nicole sitting there reading. Mandy pushed the doors open and ran into the library. "I forgot my books." Mandy ran over to the table and grabed her books. "Shouldn't you be heading to class."
