[Caleb Camerson]

Caleb grinned slightly at her first comment. 'Things weren't too bad with me, at least I got to sleep in my own bed. I mean they were ruthless, but after awhile they just kinda backed off. Mostly after my second year when I got my ear pierced.' He said with a smile, recollecting when he was fifteen, sitting in a chair to get his left ear pierced.

Caleb tracked her gaze back to the candy. He smiled. 'You want some more?' He asked. Caleb was generous, and he loved buying people things. He hated being the center of attention, which meant he disliked his own birthdays, or any time when he had to open gifts.

Sparrow's eyes darted back to him when he said something about getting his ear pierced, and she went up on tippy toe to get a better look, because she was only 5' after all. "That's cool, were your parents mad? Mine would be just flaming mad if my brother were to pierce his ear... Maybe I should suggest it to him, and then come along to watch the reaction," she said with a slight laugh, her parents were rather uptight, like most rich pureblood families were, and it really was scary how Sparrow Blundell came into the mix, as she was about the farthest thing from your stereotypical rich pureblood you could ever find.

"Hmm..." she said, looking around at the candy, "I haven't been in here for so long I don't know what is good and what is going to have antennaes and legs in it," she said, making a face followed by another laugh.

Caleb grinned. 'Well, they weren't extremely happy, but they just mostly let me do my own thing.' He said, recollecting how his parents were so distant, they had forgotten about his birthdays most years.

He turned to the candy. 'How about.. Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans? I had some bad experiences with those..' He said with a laugh.

"Yeah, my parents were originally really intense, but they gave up trying to turn me into a 'lady' or whatever so they kind of just let me do what I wanted," she said, able to relate to Caleb in that sense. She then turned to the Bertie Bott's Beans and considered it. "Well, considering we're on a bit of an adventurous streak, it can't hurt to try, can it?" she said with a slight grin... as could it really be any worse than a cockroach cluster.

Caleb smiled, before handing over the appropriate amount of sickles and knuts for a bag. 'Want to split it?' He asked, opening the bag quickly, popping a blue one in his mouth. 'Mm.. blueberry.' He said with a grin.

He handed the bag to Sparrow, not saying anything else, but offered a kind smile.

"How can I say no?" she said with a slight laugh as she pulled one out, it was red and it looked quite normal. "Cherry maybe? Strawberry? One way to find out I suppose," she said, popping it into her mouth and chewed it for a moment. But then her eyes widened and she fanned her mouth. "Red hot, oh oh!" she said, basically squealing because her mouth felt like it was on fire. She was jumping up and down in place and looked much more like a 12 year old than 20. The shopkeeper seemed to find her antics entertaining, though did feel sorry for her and gestured for her to take some sort of liquid he had in a bottle. Sparrow, still squealing a bit ran over and drank it down, instantly steam coming out of her ears, and she relaxed slightly, now giggling as she put the cup back down and made her way back over to their original place.

"Well..." she said, blinking a few times and was still giggling slightly. "That was... rather warm," she said, her face flushed, though pleasantly and it made her look even more doll-like with her long hair and wide dark eyes. "So, do you have a girl Mr. Camerson?" she asked, out of curiousity as she handed him the bag back. "Try another one," she said, her violet eyes twinkling with laughter.

Caleb watched with concern as Sparrow leaped in a start with the hot candy. He looked around for something to cool her mouth. The shop owner handed her a cup, cooling her mouth off.

He grinned at Sparrow. 'Yeah, that was a little intense..' He said, slightly amused. He took the bag back as she offered it, picking up another blue one. 'I think I'll stay on the safe side with the blue..' He said with a smile.

Hearing her question, he placed a hand on the back of his neck, rubbing it in a shy, nervous manner. 'No..' Was all he managed to say, before grinning again. 'Do you have a guy?' He said, challenging her slightly, but jokingly all the same.

"No more reds for me," she said, reaching over carefully and picking out a green one. She looked rather hesitant, and she looked at Caleb for a moment before putting it in her mouth, relief washing upon her features. "Green Apple, thank goodness," she said, hoping she hadn't made him feel uncomfortable with the question. "Sorry, I'm just a nosy little girl... and you seemed like someone who would already have a girlfriend," she said with a slight shrug, before continuing on yet again.

"I do... have a guy...I think, you probably know him, or at least will. Brandon, Lori? Head Healer, I guess we're going out, though I haven't seen him in ages we've both been so busy," she said, the more she thought about it, the more confused she got. She just had this sinking feeling that it wasn't going to work out, as it just never did, she could never find anyone willing to put up with her quirks, and she did hope that Brandon could. "One of a resounding total of 2 relationships," she said with a slight grin. "The other guy turned out to be gay," she said with a slight giggle.
