Searching For A Secret

[Colubra Malfoy]

Colubra, whistling slightly, put a few minor defense spells, making sure that not just anyone could get in... and decided his work was done. He'd done his good deed, and now would find something else to occupy himself with. What that was he couldn't be sure of yet, but it wouldn't take long... and he was starting to get a bit sick of being single. Maybe he could pick up that Kyoko chick again, even if she did sort of freak him out a bit. So he headed out of the secret room, headed in a random direction left only with his thoughts.

April cursed silently to herself as the middle head hissed at her.
"Great," she said to Mona. "It hasn't lost it's middle head yet."
She rolled her eyes at there luck. She wasn't scared of the runespoor, but having it's middle head did worry her a bit. If it bit Mona, she'd have to go to the Hopsital Wing and get some kind of antidote. It didn't worry her if the middle head bit her. Being a half vampire made her immune to most poisons.

"Ok, Mona, I'm not exactly sure what's going to work on this thing. If worst comes the worse, I'll have to try and drain it. If we do this carefully, we can try and stun it and then release it into the forest, ok?"
She hoped it didn't come to draining the thing, she wasn't sure if it would taste all that great, being a cold blooded animal.

Cucalen had followed them from a distance to this place, keeping silent the whole time so not to rise any suspicion. It certainly was a nice place, very comfortable plus it had the benefit of being in the Dungeons and near the Slytherin common room which usually deterred all the students other than Slytherin away. Plus if there was going to be any simpathy towards him it would be from the Slytherin students. He had followed the girls to the point of seeing the three-headed snake. Again he would take a back seat to this before he did or more 'said' anything to intervine, it would be good to watch to see how they sorted this problem......even though it would be a good creature to guard the place while he was here.

Mona glared at April. "We aren't hurting it," she demanded, "and you certainly not going to drain it."
She looked at the runespoor, well aware of the danger of the situation. She decided to ignore her common sense though.
"Maybe we should just trap it so we can deal with it later," Mona muttered, "but how?"
She thought to her for a moment.
"I know, we could trap it in a circle of fire. It won't kill itself like a scorpion, but it won't try to escape either," she suggested and grabbed her wand.
This won't work, her mind yelled, it's too dangerous.
Mona shrugged the thoughts of and pointed her wand at the ground near the snake.
"Flagrate," she muttered and began to draw a fiery line around the runespoor. It instantly bit her hand, making her drop her wand.
"Ouch," Mona muttered, withdrawing her hand a holding it tightly.

April winced as the middle head bit Mona. Instantly tearing a bit of material from the bottom of her robe, she quickly handed that to Mona.
"Wrap it around your hand as tightly as you can, to stop the poison from spreading!" she ordered.
"Accio wand!" she called, and caught Mona's wand in her other hand. Two wands were better than one after all.
"Stupefy!" she cried, aiming the red jet of light towards the middle head. It instantly fell unconcious, and the other two heads quickly slithered away.

April sighed, and turned towards Mona.
"We have to get you too the hospital wing, and fast," she said quickly, and grabbed Mona's arm to support her in case she started getting all weak. She began to march Mona down the corridor as quickly as she could, before she bumped into someone.

"Cuclaen," she curtly, not really surprised to see him there. "No time for chit chat, you stay in the room down here while I get Mona attended too," she ordered, not caring whether he liked being ordered around or not.

"Hey, slow down," Mona muttered to April as she was being pulled along. She was trying to tie the material around her wound but couldn't keep it still.
"How exactly do we explain the runespoor bite anyway, April?" she asked, still trying to bind the bite.
She took one last attempt at typing the material around her hand and was finally successful.
"It was stupid of me to attempt that," she muttered to herself as she let herself be taken away, "I should have thought it over."

April waited for a reply from Cucalen, but it obviously wasn't coming. Sighing frustratedly, she looked at her watch, and her eyes opened in horror.
"Crap, Mona, we have to get this fixed right away. Herbology is starting like...NOW!"

She turned and faced Cucalen.
"Sorry Cucalen, I guess we don't have time to talk." She flashed him a fake looking smile.
"Come on Mona, we'd better get you to the Hospital Wing, and fast, before that runespoor poison acts...maybe the nymph in you might help..." she said to herself, as she pushed open the door, and waited for Mona to follow her.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," Mona replied, slightly annoyed.
"You know, if there is poison in the bloodstream you shouldn't raise your heartbeat," she snapped at April without meaning to.
She silently thought over what she said for a second.
"Sorry," Mona muttered. She then turned Cucalen.
"See ya, sorry we couldn't stay a bit longer and talk," she said, giving a quick smile.
Why did I do that? her mind questioned, maybe the poisons getting to my brain.
Mona laughed quietly dispite the situation. She didn't know why she was so relaxed.

Cucalen watched them leave the room heading up to the hospital wing. As for the runespoor, it wouldn't be coming back for a while unfortunately but it would be back at one point so he made preparations to 'have a word with it'. It was a good set up even though certain parts of it made him feel a bit sick. You could tell the Malfoy's loved themselves just by looking at the things that were in this room, the bed, the mirrors and such like but it certainly was going to be very handy indeed, it was almost time for him to carry out the next stage of his plans. He wandered along the corridor where the two girls had found the runespoor and as he thought it went outside and into the forbidden forest, not too deep in but deep enough.

"We now have a hiding place in the castle my friend, I'm so glad that you were able to see some things my way and I do understand your ambitions as well especially concerning the wolf. Everything will fall into place and we will have our.........what is that?! Someone's coming into the forest! I've seen this one around before, I'll take care of this you get away and try and find that wolf."

The person that Cucalen was talking to went further into the forest as Cucalen himself silently went to investigate this particular person that was walking around.

"Hello there, you're one of the Ravenclaw students aren't you? Well I can't have you running around in this forest, you might see something you shouldn't."

Revealing his wand Cucalen pointed it at the boy and muttered the words that he had heard his companion say once or twice before. The screams thankfully were just out of earshot of the castle and the forest would try it's best to conceal them further.
