wicked ways
This world is older than any of you know, and contrary to popular mythology, it did not begin as a paradise. For untold eons, Demons walked the earth; made it their home -- their Hell. In time they lost their purchase on this reality, and the way was made for the mortal animals. For Man. What remains of the Old Ones are vestiges: certain magics, certain creatures.

Downtown
Downtown Rochester is a bustling little metropolis. Walk down the streets and you'll see a city full of life and energy. Young couples walking hand-in-hand, friends shopping at the local mall, families spending quality time together. You gotta go downtown.

Intellectual Quarter
Rochester's Intellectual Quarter is home to the city's high society. Here's where you'll find the best art money can buy, fancy tea houses and apartments, and, of course, locations of learning. Like the Historic district, this part of town remains mostly untouched by modern society; cobble-stone streets and sidewalks are just two of the sections charms.

Red Light District
Even the best cities have their closets of skeletons. Rochester's just happens to be contained in the five blocks that make up the Red Light District. Strip clubs, seedy bars, dirty pawn shops, and cheap housing. This is not a place you want to get caught after dark.

Industrial Area
In the early part of the twentieth century, Rochester made its name (and fortune) through its many factories. Today, many of the old factories have shut down and remain empty in the town's Industrial Area. Recently, a few businesses have come in and reverted some of the old buildings to more modern establishments.

Historic District
While not a popular attraction with the youth, the Historic district of Rochester holds a certain amount of nostalgia for the town's older residents. Antique stores line the cobblestone streets, leading to the County History Museum. It's also home to McKenzie Park, which oddly enough, does earn some interest from the youngsters.

Suburbs
Just outside the main city limits are Rochester's suburbs- lovely houses in close-knit neighborhoods that range from relatively inexpensive to mansion-like. About half of Rochester's population lives in the suburbs, while the rest reside in the city or the outskirts of the county.

Visual Arts Building
Home to all the artists and AV geeks. The building is a bit smaller than the rest, but it doesn't really matter to anybody. The only actually people who go inside are the regulars that enjoy the comfort of knowing not many people will dare enter the building. And if you do dare, you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

Communications Building
Languages make the world go round and knowing more than one will help. At Mauduit Academy, they believe in the same, knowing more than one language is better than one. However, also they believe that you need to perfect the English language too. So you'll find it all there inside the large building.

Campus
Surprisingly, Mauduit does not have a huge open spaced campus. Rather, MA has a bigger than average campus cramped with all the different buildings and many, many trees around it. Even though there aren't many benches for the students to sit on, the advantage of not having a large campus allows them to get to class on time.

Library
To all those who need a quiet place to think once and a while, come to library! Like any library, it is extemely quiet with the strict librarian, and any creek can be heard. Also in the library are so many books beyond your imagination. Even if you aren't into reading, in the back is the music library.

Athletic Building
Like any other school, Mauduit takes pride in its sports and physical education. The Athletic building and the surrounding area are completely state-of-the-art. The gymnasium itself is redone every four years, much to the coaches' joy.

Math & Science Building
The Math & Science building is not among the favorites of MA student body. Sure, the classes are usually harder and less fun. But there's also the fact that the building, no matter how often it's cleaned, always has a certain gross odor to it. It's probably the formaldehyde from all the dissections, but that knowledge just makes it worse.

Social Sciences Building
Mauduit Academy prides itself on the vast number of classes it offers, particularly in its social sciences department. From psychology to government to computer programming, it can all be found in one very special building.

Cafeteria
Everyone's gotta eat, right? And the students at Mauduit are no exception. Sure, it's still "school food", but it's high class school food. Less greasy, more health conscious. Besides there are a number of fantastic campus patios to dine on.
