Hi Committee (or the few that visit the forum)
I asked about a calendar last year and although a few thought it was a good idea it was too late to produce one So I thought I'd get in a bit earlier What about a calendar for 2010 committee??????????? Bob  |

The last committee meeting was cancelled, so nothing has been discussed with the committee as yet.
I think that again, we've left it too late to do anything more about it. We really need to start planning a calendar about June time to allow for photoshoots to be done during the summer months when the weather is kind. As you know Bob... we all do this in our 'spare' time, and as much as we'd all like to devote more time to our VW's, sometimes life gets in the way  Sorry to disappoint! |

I'll do my own - I've got 1000's of photos so should be able to knock a few together for friends & family I think I've still got the template from work when I use to do them for the stationery office that will produce the day/date/month grids Bob |

I've got 1000's of photos too... just I think that for us to use those for what could be seen as commercial gain would be unfair, hence why I think for the club to do a calendar, specific shoots need to be commissioned. In the meantime, if you wanted to help in the quest for photographs for a 2011 calendar, feel free. Photos would need to be at least 4500 x 3000 pixels in size, or a negative/transparency. Obviously you also need to have permission to use the photograph for a calendar that we are going to sell. We will have no funds to pay for cars to be featured. I will talk to the committee at the AGM about your idea for a calendar (are you coming along?) and propose that we get on with it as soon as possible to arrange shoots, and then we have more chance or being able to sell them at shows later in the year. If anyone else reading fancies having their car featured on a club calendar, then let us know... post a pic up on here and lets see what happens!  |
