Family || i draw this line and hope you'll take my side Partner-in-Crime || this knife is my most important appendage
history; explanation: "Mordicus Belby? You mean my infuriating git of a cousin? I abhor him. I definitely do with all my heart. ... Oh, don't get your knickers in a twist; I was just kidding. Of course I love my Mordibear. He's such a snarky sweetheart even if he is under the influence most of the time. As cousins, it was only normal of us to frequently visit each other's houses and play as children. But unlike the fallout I had with Matilda, my relationship with Mordicus only grew over the years. He's one of the few people I can trust implicitly, and I'm quite confident it is the same way with him. I can just rant as long as I want on the Auctoritas Party and he'll listen (probably because he's out of it). But all teasing aside, we give each other advice and protect each other nonetheless. He's family after all. We're stuck with each other, really, and I'm glad for that."
mordicus' explanation: "Ah, Gala... possibly my absolute favourite cousin of them all. We had a far better childhood than I ended up having with most other children simply because she never really did anything to annoy me. In the mind of an eight-year-old she was the picture-perfect playmate, always up for anything I could think of. It helped our relationship a good deal with us beginning school together, you know, new students who've yet to make their mark. In the early days you tend to stick together as much as you can, usually until one thing or another happens and you drift apart. Fortunately that wasn't the case with Gala and I; we're probably just as close as the day I whacked her with a stick and she chucked a pebble at my head. Mmhm. I don't think anything really needs to be said about the connection between us. At times it may seem as though we're the world's worst enemies but I put up with her all the same. There's relatively nothing I wouldn't do for her... so long as it doesn't involve jepordizing my health or habits. And thats the thing about Gala - she doesn't care what I do."
 tarlach connolly - 18 - the snake
Partner-in-Crime || this knife is my most important appendage Irritation || some people love to play the victim
history; explanation: "oh boy, where do we start. it was back quite a few years ago when i met my darling mordicus, not to say that we didn't hit it right off the bat, but i mean - it's kinda like this. im in charge of everything, and he gets jealous, we've had quite a few scrapes in our day, but we vowed no more fist fights after our sixth year, so oh well. he seems irritated whenever i'm around the rest of the gang, maybe because he doesn't like it when i treat everyone equal, who knows. anyways, we're really good friends, i'd consider him to be family, so that's it in a nutshell, oh! and we're both pretty good at potions."
mordicus' explanation: "I don't even know what to say. He's big, he's bad, he's annoying as hell when his ego fills the room. Every few days he needs a smack in the face to realise not everyone with half a brain would follow him into stupidity. But I put up with it. It's funny to think he thinks he's in charge. I don't care what he does to every other bastard in his little gang but I'm not one to be sent to carry out his little deeds. If he wants to kick around the dirt beneath his foot then I'm all for it - so long as I'm not part of the dirt. Rather cool guy overall."
william oscar cronk - sixteen - slytherin -Best || who will be there to tell me how stupid i am?
history; explanation:"Mordicus seems to be everywhere I turn within the Slytherin house, in other words he holds a pretty high position. Throughout my years at Hogwarts, he was always the cool one in the year above me, the one I wanted to be. I never was though but in the end, it was Mordicus who finally gave me the confidence to do something about how shy I was. It was at one of his parties where I finally came out of my shell and be the better person that I am now. I would call him one of my closest friends now, even if I have to drink a little alcohol and do a few drugs to prove to him that I am worthy of his friendship and attention. I don't mind though, anything to ensure that I don't go back to the loser than I used to be."
mordicus' explanation:"William, truthfully, is just a face that's come along in recent months. I hardly knew him last year, though I'd seen him around occasionally... He wasn't too big in my scene and quite frankly I couldn't give a damn what he was doing. It's not in my interest to care about people, really. Anyways, he just sort of showed up this year, got down on his knees and begged to be accepted into fabulousness. So I put him to the test, literally, to see just how much he could stomach. Drink wise. And then drug wise. I'd hardly consider the bastard a life long friend but he's slowly working his way up there... Now all that's left to be done is to have him dump that ridiculous girlfriend of his. She only gets in the way."
 Elladora Knightley - 16 - Slytherin
Lust || dressed to kill you look so right, i am drunk with lust tonight Flirt || oh these soft-legged girls and hard-faced boys *Future || so this is continuous happiness... [*disfunctional relationship] Close || my words won't heal you now; it's you who decides
history; explanation: “ Oh well look who it is, it’s Mordicus Belby probably the most bad ass kid in this school and you know what? I think that’s sexy about him and I’m not afraid to show him in my own little way that I like that. Yea Mordicus is one year older than me but that doesn’t stop me from going after him. Just have you seen Mordicus? He’s freakin gorgeous in everyway so how can I stay away from that? So I can’t so I guess I just have my eye on him and see what happens. I know I can’t expect to be all fair and games but I play dirty too. Other than I can say that he’s a great friends of mine since we have a lot in common. I know I can always expect “our” whenever I hang out with him.
mordicus' explanation: "Mm, Elle... I have to say I love the fact that she's built her own notorious reputation around the school. It's entirely amusing to hear the gossip that goes around - and she even knows what's being said about her. Occasionally it's more entertaining to keep up with than the newspaper. As far as our relationship goes she's nice girl. . .as much as can be for a Slytherin whore. Oh, she is to. She'd tell you herself. I admit I find her attractive in just the slightest way but I'm hardly the type to throw myself down at her feet. Unlikely; improbably. I don't mind our closeness as strictly friends but if she's interested in anything more - which I suspect she just may be - she's going to have to work exceptionally hard for any amount of affection. Because I'd rather not show any at all."
 victoria grace wenlock - 16 - ravenclaw
Love-Hate || there is nothing but anger burning inside of me Irritation || some people love to play the victim Acquaintance || we are the sound; we don't belong
history; explanation: "Mordius Belby is a prat. Really. I met him first when I was about six years old. My mother had dragged me to his house and forced me to sit like young lady in the sitting room for ages before sending me out in to the backyard to play with the other children. I was rather grumpy at that point from having to sit for so long so I had just flopped on to the grass to watch the other children play. Well Mordicus apparently didn't like that and the next thing I knew he heaved a handful of mud right at me. It squelched all over my new dress that my mother had just given to me and I was so angry. I remember I turned bright red and and heaved some back at him berfore running back in to the house. My mother was not pleased but she cleaned me up and took me home. Mordicus has been throwing mud at me ever since. Not as literally perhaps but he has been annoying me nonstop ever since. Really it is infuriating. It isn't in the nice way like Falco pokes fun at me, but the rather cruel way that is meant to make me feel awful or upset. Mordicus and I have had the rare good conversation, maybe once or twice over the years, but it isn't enough to make up for everything else."
mordicus' explanation: "Darling Victoria Wenlock... She's as darling as a dragon on a bad day. An understatment? Not when I'm aware of the history that seems to stretch too far back. It was pathetic the way people would drop by the house with their children and then shoo us outside to play with twigs and grass. Victoria was one of the girls who'd always come around at the exact moment when she wasn't needed. And then, curiously, I remember a single day in July when she was inside the house rather than out with the rest of us. She should have been playing whatever nonsense game we had come up with that afternoon and quite simply she wasn't. We must have been short a player or something because I can recall waiting specifically for her to come out... Eventually she did, in a dress her mother must have put her in, all fancy and frilly and what have you. And of course you can't go around playing outside in such fashion so I went ahead and threw a glob of mud at her. Bullseye. Right in the middle of her chest... it's almost funny when I think back on it. It certainly got her attention though, probably more than I'd bargained for. She hasn't changed much I suppose... still showing up when not needed but I've yet to throw more dirt at her again."
laurentia wiblin - seventeen - slytherin
Irritation || some people love to play the victim Acquaintance || we are the sound; we don't belong
history; explanation: "Mordicus is infuriating! I swear he gets on my last nerve, sometimes! He honestly won't leave for William alone, and is always offering him drugs. I'll teach to back off if he won't understand it himself!"
mordicus' explanation: "Some people are into it, some aren't, and I can't help it if her boyfriend just happens to be interested in whatever drugs and alcohol I've got to sell him. For some reason it ends up pissing Laurentia off. I can clearly remember three separate occasions of her interfering with a sale and eventually convincing her boyfriend to put his money away. Bitch. And then I can recall one occasion where she standing right there with him when I handed the drugs over. Honestly, control much? She needs to loosen up and learn she can't control her boyfriend - he just might end up giving her to someone else. I'd support that choice entirely. If she keeps nosing into my business I'm not going to have any business to conduct at all."
matilda belby - fifteen - ravenclaw
Family || i draw this line and hope you'll take my side It’s… Complicated || i'm afraid of open water but i often bathe in sin On/Off || i guess the only thing cheap to you is your friends
history; explanation: "mordicus, what a twisted tale that man is. he is the eldest in our family, heir to the name, and yet he does not act responsibly. if i were the one being left all the weight of an heir, i would be a little more careful in my actions. you see, mordicus is almost two years older than i, yet we don't really have much of a relationship - nothing like what malcolm and i have. he was always so distant growing up, and i was the youngest, so he paid little attention to me. recently, he has become like a ghost, a shell of his former self. now, i'm certainly not saying he was once an exhuberant boy and now he is not - he was simply more ... alive once. he seems like a shadow, now. like he isn't really there, and you're just seeing some figment of your imagination. i've learned of his drug abuse, and it sickens me to know that he's becoming like some filthy street peddler. i will not tell our parents, for it is not my place."
mordicus' explanation: "I find it irritating that my youngest sister thinks it should be part of her business to know what I do around the school. Or with my life, for that matter. It's easy to tell she isn't necessarily fond of the drugs and the alcohol but give it another year or two - wait until those OWLs roll around and she just may find an itch for a drop of Firewhiskey. I don't hate her, definitely not... I suppose I would even stick up for her if something were a great enough threat but I'd just rather not show too much emotion when it can be helped. Were she in Slytherin I imagine our conversations would be more frequent than they are now as well, not that I've ever really held it against her. Intelligence is just as important as cleverness. Sometimes it seems as though she may have just a bit too much... Reminds me of mother every now and then."
harvey correy radford - seventeen - ravenclaw
Hardcore Loathing || i can't think of a time when you looked less alive Acquaintance || we are the sound; we don't belong
history; explanation: "Mordicus Belby... just the name brings a sour taste to my mouth. I hate this guy. He's the meanest douche you could ever imagine. Now, by this time in my life, I'm used to mean people, but for some reason I still can't stand him. Now, we don't really know much about each other pretty much just because we never let ourselves know the other. From the moment we met it seems like it was instant hatred. I looked at him at the sorting ceremony our first day at Hogwarts, and I knew just from his appearance that we would not get along. And guess what, I was one hundred percent correct! I can't even bear talking about him for this long!"
mordicus' explanation: "..Who am I supposed to be talking about again? Oh, Harvey Radford, the dolt extraordinaire. Yes, well, there's little to be said for our non-existant comradery namely because we're never shared more than five words of anything other than absolute loathing. Some people you aren't meant to want to get along with. I could care less about him than the dirt on the bottom of my shoe. But every once and a while the dirt needs to be cleaned up. I can't wait for him to do something stupid, something really stupid, as he inevitably will."
