NICKNAMES: Her nicknames are her two middle names. From the time she was five, she refused to answer to her first name, which has pretty much become obsolete since then. She is called Addison or Kimber most of the time, with nicknames such as Addy (which she dislikes very much), AK and Oldridge.

HAIR:

Addison's hair isn't long, though it's not really short, either. Her dark brown locks stop just below her shoulders, a long enough length so she can do just about anything with it, but it's not too long to take care of. She has that perfect hair that all girls want- the hair that is naturally straight, but curls and volumizes with some mousse, so she can pull off either look without much of a hassle. Her hair also curls with a curling iron and with just a touch of hairspray, her curls last an entire day!

EYES:

People always said Addison could pull off the perfect puppy dog face. She has big, brown eyes, though the brown is so dark, and so deep that instead, her eyes look almost like deep pools of ink. Don't try to use that as a pickup line on her, though; she'll give you a pretty good right jab to the face!

EFFECT:

To Addison, life is a giant dance party and the world is just her stage. Wherever she goes, Addison's got a tune in her head and a bounce in her step. She's got a dancer's body, lean and toned with long, long legs that seem to beast her body and go on for days. She is, however, slightly clumsy and often doesn't watch where she's dancing. On more than one occasion she's knocked over a row of suits of armor in the halls.

When Addison was four years old, she decided it would be a fantastic idea to wander off into the woods behind her house alone. Turned out not to be such a good idea, after all. Just several metres into the woods, a giant brown bear attacked her. Apparently the bear was a mother who had lost her cub and went crazy. Anyway, the bear ended up attacking Addison and clawing through her back. Now, Addison is a pureblood, but there are some cuts so deep even magic can’t heal them. Addison woke up two days later in St. Mungo’s, laying on her stomach, family gathered around her bed. For the rest of her life, Addison would have three, giant, jagged scars running diagonally down her back.

OVERALL:

The only word that could truly describe Addison is rambunctious. She's got so much life and energy coursing through her, she tends to rub her energy and spirit and zest for life onto other people, something she thoroughly enjoys. She's always got a bounce in her step and Addison's always humming some crazy tune that she can dance and completely rock out to. She's fun, slightly rebellious, clumsy and just for the most part an amazingly fun and interesting person.

Addison is extremely free-willed and stubbourn. She stands up for what she believes in and always voices her opinion, whether with or against the majority. She is unafraid to be herself, have her own opinions and care about things she cares about, not what society tells her to care about. Going along nicely with her stubbournness and willingness to stand out of the crowd, Addison is also confident, though not cocky. She is happy with who she is and doesn't need anyone to tell her that. She likes what she likes; nothing, and no one, is going to change her. She has the strong belief that if someone is trying to make you change, they really aren't worth your time.

Since the day she was born, Addison was interested in the world around her. She is extremely observant and notices things other people don’t. Along with this high level of interest in people and the way they work, Addison enjoys reading as a sport, so to speak. Like her mother, Addison takes books out of the library for pleasure reading, and most of them have to do with her classes. Addison enjoys taking books out ad researching every little part of something they learned in class, just to make sure she fully understands everything.

Fun, inventive and creative, Addison can think of anything to keep her and her friends out of boredom, whether it be playing Truth or Dare in the dark with a bit of spin the bottle mixed in or creating a tub filled with chocolaty desserts. As a child, on her down time she would read. Addison would read anything she got her hands on, and quickly advanced to larger, more reading intense books. By the time she was seven, she had read and thoroughly enjoyed La Divine Comedia in her native language and what it was written in. Being bilingual has helped Addison in so many ways. She is quick to pick up other languages, and that has helped her pick up on everything else with ease. In school, she is easily one of the smartest in her class because not only of her innate brilliance, but because she knows how to balance her time which is a skill in and of itself. Addison knows when it's time to study and when she can go and hang out.

"I always got on fine with my parents. I mean, I was their first child so I'll always be their 'baby,' even though my sister is technically the baby. The tended to be on the more lenient side raising the two of us, though they did know when to say no and when to discipline us. I am, however, a typical "daddy's girl" and wouldn't change that for the world. My dad was always happy that I was a tomboy and that I loved sports; it meant he could take me to the Quidditch games my mother never really wanted to go to."

John and Stephanie Oldridge were an arranged marriage from birth, as are most of the time. However, unlike most other arranged marriages, the two grew up together in a little sea coast town in Italy. John’s mother was Italian, but his father English and both of Stephanie’s parents were Italian. The two couples met when John'sfolks moved into a small house several down from Stephanie’s folks’. When John’s mother found out she was pregnant, both couples were elated. Nine months later, John was born. Just under a year later, Stephanie's mother gave birth to her, a beautiful baby girl, and the two were instantly to be married when they were out of school and of marrying age.

The two became the best of friends and practically inseparable, and the courtship they entered would only strengthen the bond between the two. When out of school and of marrying age, John went to Stephanie’s father to ask for her hand in marriage, and of course he said yes. The two were married not a year later and within two years, Stephanie was pregnant with their first child. However, into her sixth month, she miscarried, which sent her into a dark depression for the next four months. After pulling out of her depression, the couple tried once more for a baby and once more, Stephanie was pregnant. This time, she carried to her seventh month and went into early labor, which couldn’t be helped. On Friday the thirteenth of October, a blustery, chilly day which called for a sweater over short sleeves, a beautiful baby girl was born to parents John and Samantha Oldridge, the baby which was a miracle for them. Stephanie had been in labor for three hours by the time she was brought in, and would not actually give birth for another sixteen, pain filled hours with potentially fatal contractions. They named their little girl Catriona Addison Kimber, but baby Catriona was not in the clear just yet.

The child was born with a weak heart and only one lung working, so nurses had to watch little baby Catriona around the clock. Two months later, the day of Christmas Eve, Catriona Addison Kimber was finally able to go home.

One year after the trouble of Catriona’s birth, Stephanie gave birth to another girl, Phoebe. The second child was carried to term and was an easy birth. It turns out the birth of Addison and her sister Emmeline would pretty must describe their personalities and how they would be for the rest of their lives. Catriona was a very rambunctious, energetic little girl with big, brown eyes that were always observing the world around her. Phoebe was a much calmer child, though a puppy could be considered calmer than toddler Catriona.

Despite her extreme boughs of energy, Catriona was a kind hearted and loving child. However, when she was three years old, John’s job asked him to transfer to England which was alright with him, seeing that his father was from England. However, Stephanie did not approve as quickly. She was not ready to move so far away from her parents. What about the girls? How would they feel, seeing their grandparents only a couple times a year instead of every day as they had so far?

Catriona and Phoebe proved to be alright with their move. Instead of looking out of their window and seeing water, they looked out their window and saw trees. Their new house backed a rather large, thickly wooded forest which proved a new learning opportunity for Catriona. However, it was this year when the Oldridges decided that three children would be perfect. A baby Natalie was adopted and brought home. Natalie did not receive a warm welcome from her two older sisters who, from that day for the next five years, would treat Natalie as an outside. The girls would taunt their younger sister and keep telling her that she was adopted. Catriona once went so far as to tell her that their parents didn't want her but if they didn't take you they would go to hell.

When Catriona was four years old, she decided she hated her name. It was awkward and she hated it. From her fourth birthday forward, Catriona would answer only to Addison or Kimber, one of her two middle names. Her parents, frustrated by their already strong willed daughter, gave in and began to call their daughter by the name she preferred. It was also this year when Addison decided it would be a fantastic idea to wander off into the woods behind her house alone. Three year old Emmeline would really be too much trouble to take with her. That turned out to be not such a good idea, after all. Just several metres into the woods, a giant brown bear attacked her. Apparently the bear was a mother who had lost her cub and went crazy. Anyway, the bear ended up attacking Addison and clawing through her back, barely missing her spinal cord. Now, Addison is a pureblood, but there are some cuts so deep even magic can’t heal them. When she was eleven years old, Addison received her letter from Hogwarts. She practically trampled the poor owl to death trying to extract the letter from it’s beak! The rest of the day was spent with Addison dancing around the house, singing at the top of her lungs a song she made up about how excited she was to go to Hogwarts. When the first of September rolled around, she boarded the scarlet Hogwarts Express and ended up meeting her best friend, the one person she would cause so much trouble with in future times.

Finally at the school she had spent almost an entire year dreaming about, Addison and her best friend were sorted into Gryffindor and thus started a new chapter in young Miss Oldridge’s life, a chapter that would not close for another seven, amazing years.
