[*]First things first…this is a Lion King roleplay, and we do have younger members on here. No PG13-R rated stuff. This means: no cursing, inappropriate links, controversial topics, etc etc. TLK is a family-related fandom, obviously, and we do expect this rp to stay kid-friendly. However, we don't mind the occasional descriptive fight scene, as long as you label them as such (in the topic description, put ((PG)) or whatever rating you see fit.)


[*]A rule all roleplayers should be aware of: no powerplaying, godmodding, or anything else like it. An admin cannot stress this enough. People don't like it when others take control of their characters in their posts and move them around or speak for them, so just don't do it! If you don't know what godmodding is, please ask so we can explain it to you. We would be more than happy to!


[*]This rp happens several generations after Kiara and Kovu's reign. Simba, Nala, and all the other characters from the movies have passed on. So please, do NOT join as them, or decendants of them. We already have enough of those. If you REALLY need them to be related to your character, though, send me a PM and we'll talk.


[*]If you have a problem with someone or something on the board, please contact a member of the staff. Do NOT try to solve issues on your own. This usually leads to more issues than what you started with, and its better to have a neutral party assisting with the conflict, whatever it might be.


[*]Continuing off from the previous rule: please be kind to the other members, and respect their opinions! (Another thing we cannot stress enough.) Remember to check what you've written in your posts before you press the submit button. Don't say something you wouldn't want said to you!


[*]Please make sure you ask the King/Queen of a pride if you can join them, if you are a rogue later wishing to become a pride member. If you are a rogue, you can travel through the lands, but if you encounter the royal family or other pride members, be ready to be interrogated about your intentions or leave.


[*]Non-African animals MUST be approved by the admin. We will not accept them unless they have a good reason for being in Africa. In addition, you MUST have a good reason for joining as a tiger! We do not intend on having too many of these animals.


[*]If you want an rp thread to be private between you and someone else, or a group of people, and you don't want other people posting there, then put in the topic description 'Closed to ________'. If you see this in a description, do NOT post there unless your name has been listed.


[*]Please make sure to be descriptive in your posts. This is a LITERATE rpg, so please do not post one-liners or chatspeak in the actual roleplay sections. In addition, please try to run your post through a spellchecker before posting. It makes things easier for the readers. Also, we'd appreciate if everyone would post in 3rd person, and would space their paragraphs. It makes things flow a bit better. Try to post at least one-two paragraphs each entry, if possible. If you aren’t sure of how to do these things, or do not know how to properly format a post, just check out our RP 101 thread, located in the General Discussion area under Frequently Asked Questions.


[*]While participating in the roleplay, please keep OOC conversations to an absolute minimum. Use the OOC Clubhouse or the pm system to communicate with each other.


[*]Keep in mind: our members are not on 24/7, so be ready to wait if your character is talking to another character that hasn't responded yet in your thread. Feel free to start other threads for your character so you can be roleplaying with a variety of people. If the person you are waiting for in a thread doesn't reply for a while and you can tell from the monthly Activity Check that they are not active, just move your character on and ask a staff member to close/inactivate the thread.


[*]Yes, you can be in multiple threads at once. This roleplay will cover timespans, so we merely ask that you keep up with the character storyline threads found in the bulletinboard section of the board. These will be how you categorize your threads in order of plot/occurrence/timeline. For more information on how this is done, please check those threads on the board.


[*]You can't reply to the rp topics until you've posted a joining profile in the Joining Profile section, been accepted by a mod, and then have created a full profile in the Character Profile section. We will then switch your status from 'member' to 'roleplayer', and you will be able to then post.


[*]To keep the board tidy, we ask that all signatures and profile pictures be 200 height/400 width or UNDER. Anything bigger and you will be asked by a mod to remove it. This goes for any images posted in threads as well. If your image is bigger than the limit, use a thumbnail provided by imageshack.us, or simply link to the image. Also, please keep them relevant and appropriate. Thank you!


[*]Please do not join as a 'royal' character. We are not currently accepting anymore Kings, Queens, Princesses, Princes....whatever. We have too many as it is, and not enough prides for them all. If we need any royality, we will let you know. Until then, keep your characters titleless.


[*]At the moment, we are no longer accepting applications for new prides and clans. We currently have 5 groups to choose from and would like to emphasize membership for those. Later, when every existing group has a fair amount of members each, contact an Admin if you would really like to start one and they'll talk with you about it.


[*]Banning. It’s not something we generally wish to think about, but we do need consequences in the event that our rules are not followed. You will be given three warnings before you will no longer allowed to participate. We never want to have to do this, however, so please, we ask that you just follow our simple little laws here…we’ll all be so much happier if you do!
