After the devastating plague overwhelmed many members of Pridelands, Outlands, and surrounding areas, Queen Amina pleaded for peace between the prides. Amazingly, many agreed, having been forced to rely on the other pride for comfort while the illness spread. Lainika, angered and ashamed that her pride was no longer in her control, ran away, still plotting on returning to what was rightfully hers.
