[Kazani]

Spotting the lioness Kizani at the peak of a termite mound gave Taya some relief. They were going to be able to slip Kesi in without a problem. No one was watching them now, and the Pridelander cub wouldn't be recognized from the ground. "I hope she'll be happy to see you...." Being her gloomy self she thought of the fact that the lioness would reveal them.
Shadow, however, was seeing only the bright side of this. "Of course she will!" He was practically beaming as he walked beside his new friend. But perhaps at this point he was getting overconfident. It was only luck that was sparing them this time. As they rounded a turn the dark cub darted to the female, "I've got someone to see you, Kizani..."

[Kizanii]

Kizani looked up at Shadow and let out a yawn. "Huhwhat?" She blinked, nearly yelling at him for keeping her awake, until she saw Taya, and another young lioness she didn't quite recognize very well. She looked a lot like her mate. A pang of grief hit her as she got up and heard the rustling of the leaves around her neck.

She stared at the cub for a few seconds. Her eyes went through a dance of emotions until it finally turned into a look of love and pain.

"Mom." Kesi seemed shocked. The lioness didn't look much like herself, but she knew it was her. The mark under her eye was so clear. She ran up buried herself in her mother's fur, nearly crying. She felt her mother's paw on her side.

The lioness looked at Taya. A look of pain, one that said, Why have you brought her here? She wasn't upset to see her daughter. But it was dangerous here, definitely not a place she wanted her cub to be. She left her at Pride Rock for a reason. She nuzzled her daughter lovingly, she had nearly forgotten what such love had felt like.

((ooc: haha, I know. I just highlight to read on the really bright ones))

bic: "Surprise!" He was glad to see them together again. But it also served as a reminder that his mother still hadn't came back. The dark young male pushed this out of his head for now, this was about Kesi not him. His silver-blue eyes watched them, not at all noticing Kizani's face.
The adolescent was hating the look on Kizani's face. She could feel the pain in it raking at her own heart like icy claws. Taya was regretting having done this for the cubs. Especially at the thought of separating mother and daughter again. "She wanted to see you....And Shadow was set on sneaking her in," the dark grey youth managed to choke out quietly.

Kizani nodded, glancing at Shadow then back to Taya. She checked behind her, making sure no Outlanders were around with them. "We should get away from this place, then. It could mean trouble if anyone spots us." She said, looking down at Kesi. Their fur contrasted almost perfectly, her being jet black and Kesi being tan, yet they still resembled each other.

Kesi looked up at Kizani. She wondered why they couldn't stay here and talk, and where they were going now. She glanced questioningly at Taya. This place did have a certain aura about it, but she kind of liked it.

The dark grey lioness nodded. "Although, it would be hard for anyone on the ground to accurately identify Kesi by scent with this updraft....And no one knows what she looks like." Was there even anywhere they could stay and be safe from the rest of the pride?
"Well...The Cave of Death, might be a good place. But we'd have no where to go if anyone caught us..." Perhaps now his bright outlook was quelled some. He turned to his friend, "Don't worry, it's just a name. It was the shaman's cave." Shadow looked to Kizani to find out where they were going.

Kesi did look a bit put off at the name of the cave; but if Shadow agreed on going there, it couldn't be too scary. She was busy trying to take in all that had happened so far. She had found her mother! But they were in the Outlands.. The Outlands didn't seem nearly as terrifying as the lionesses made it sound.

Kizani thought about it for a few seconds, then nodded. "We won't be caught there." she said reassuringly, but she herself wasn't so sure. She glanced to Taya, wondering if she agreed.
