[Raimi]

Taye ran with the ease and gracefulness of a cheetah. HIs long legs stretched out beneath him, eating the ground in effortless sweeps. Ahead of him, he could see the stream, the place of countless good times in his memory. It was there that he was headed. There that he would cleanse himself, relax, take a drink and then go from there.
As he neared, he gathered his legs beneath him and launched, just as he had countless times in the past. He landed with utmost precision, sliding a bit on the slippery stones beneath his paws before launching again, barely coming out of the water before landing again. Then Taye stood, basking for a moment, letting the water run around him and calm itself. The ripples slowly died and soon the water was in tune with itself, flowing gently around him as though nothing had ever happened.
Taye lapped up a few mouthfuls of water and then looked around. Yes, he thought. He was home...

[Kazani]

Her ears perked up, barely catching the sound of paws on the ground. Immediately she jolted up and gave a chirp to see if anyone was there. Jewel's green eyes darted about frantically. She wasn't the nervous and timid cheetahess she had once been, no, she had kept her promise to Simbana. After the Kilanan queen's death, she left herself with no other choice but to be brave for that light golden lioness she owed her life to.
A glimmer of movement caught her eye and the sound of a splash made it to her ears. Seeing spots, familiar spots, made her heart nearly leap. A member of her clan! She moved towards him slowly at first but then sped over to the water as fast as she could go, barely able to stop at the edge of the bank. "Taye?"

[Raimi]

The sound of another animal running had Taye's ears perked forward, swiveling to find out where it was coming from. He turned his head just as the creature, another cheetah, slid to a stop at the river's edge. "[i]Taye?[/b]" He lifted his head, staring at the cheetahess, and then smiled. "Jewel!" He yelled, leaping out of the stream, sending waves of water crashing toward her.
He tackled her, completely forgeting himself for a moment as he nuzzled her. Then slowly he got his wits about him and got up, standing beside her as he waited for her to get up. "Jewel I can't believe it, I thought everyone was gone...I'm so glad you're here!" He rambled. "Where did everyone else go, anyway?"

Note: sorry..my head is stuffed up...so I have a little writers block..lol

[Kazani]

ooc: don't worry, my sore throat's killing me......darn cold and allergy season

bic: She was glad for his reaction, mainly because she kept herself from doing the same for the fact that he was the prince...and perhaps now the king. Her giggling at his behavior stopped at his questions. "I....I was hoping you knew," she said getting up. "I was requested by Queen Simbana to come to Kilana....She was going to have her cubs and wanted me to be there...Then that that beast came with reinforcements and killed her, the king, and some of their members and took the kingdom." Jewel heaved a sigh. "When I got back, they were all gone...It's been a month or so and no word from them." Oh how she wished she could be more helpful than this!

[Raimi]

His ears laid back against his head and he sighed. "No, I left to find 'the king within' and well..you know..just got back." He shook his head. "I wonder what happened to them...well..Kione went to find the king within as well, so he's probably still on his journey. I'm not sure about Liseli or Mom and Dad though...." Taye sat down, staring at Jewel for a moment and then looking at the stream.
"If no one else is here...then..." He looked at Jewel again, "Then that makes me..." He paused, unable to quite grasp the concept of what that meant...not sure if he wanted to grasp it...

ooc: I'm probably not gonna be able to reply for a few days, so dont' think I abandoned you, just read my post "Moving" in the Members thread. Anyway, I'll be back! lol ;)

"King..." she finished for him. Her bright green eyes held on him, "While they're away, you have to take on all the responsibilities of your father....So as far as any visitors that may come are concerned, you are the king. If someone comes along and thinks we're without a king, they might try to take it for themselves." She was hoping that would reassure him whether or not the rest of the royal family came back that he had to be the leader. Jewel was also considering the risks of losing this place if someone came along wanting it. They only numbered two now.
