[Tashe]

It was another beautiful, sunny day in the Pridelands, but for some it was not as beautiful as it seemed. As a cub, when all the lionesses is the pride's eyes boring down on you, there was not much to do but watch as bugs crawled by and examine the dappled shadows of the leaves patterns. Such boringness was occurring for one young member in the pride, Toboe.

The young male lay sprawled out on the ground, his blue eyes drifting lazily back and forth as he watched the ants march past him in an almost perfectly straight line. A cool breeze blew, ruffling Toboe's wavy, multi-colored hairtuft that was to be his future mane. He just wished something interesting would happen.

All of a sudden, out of the corner of his eye, Toboe spotted a flash of black. He slowly lifted his chin from the ground and turned to look in the direction that he had seen it. There, nibbling at some seeds at the base of a tree, was a small black mouse. It hadn't seemed to have noticed him, so he got to his feet and began hunting it. He crouched down low and slunk towards it, when he suddenly heard the snap of a twig under his paws. The mouse turned around, took one look at the brown cub stalking it, and sprinted away, Toboe loping along after it.

Choru laid quitely on a small rock, grooming herself and licking her paw. It was a few days after the cub fight in which Shadow, Shekira, Vivu and Jax had been seriously injured. She had not been in the fight, but she was the one who saw Jax first, the outlander cub who had started the whole scene. Now that Nightshade was reunited with her daughter, she wondered what Amina would think of that. But that was not really her concern, because, as a cub, she wouldn't have been able to do much anyway.

The female had been a little distressed at the whole situation, but has slowly reverted back to her usual composure. At a sound, she turned her head and saw a brown cub running towards something she cannot see. Getting up, she saw that it was Toboe. Thinking this will probably take her mind off things, she leapt from rock to rock until she was somewhat above where he was. Choru jumped down right in front of Toboe.
'Whatcha doing?'

Toboe was almost on top of the mouse, when a lighter colored cub appeared in front of him, seemingly out of nowhere. He skidded to a halt, raising a cloud of dust behind him, and just barely managing to stop before crashing into the other cub.

Once he'd stopped, he could see who she was. It was Choru, a young lioness who he hadn't talked to very often. After identifying who she was, he looked down just in time to see the black rodent scamper off between her paws.

"Awww, you let it get away!" he exclaimed sorrowfully. "I was hunting a mouse, but now it's gone. Oh well, I probably wouldn't have had any use for it anyways."

[Juffy]

Choru looked down between her paws as a black thing scurried past.
'Eurgh,' she exclaimed, not seeing what it was.
'The adults are going on a hunt later on Toboe,' she said, looking around at the sleepy pride. A mischievious grin crept onto her face. 'Wanna sneak out when they're gone?'

[Kizanii]

"Eep!" Anyla squeaked as she felt something touch her paw. She looked down, spotting a tiny brown mouse. She felt embarrassed that she had been startled by such a tiny creature. She chased after it, intent on catching it. She pounced, nearly squishing it. She looked up to find it, and noticed Choru, and another lion she hadn't really met before. She hoped they weren't watching her show silently. She padded over and greeted them. "Hey, Choru."


Then she looked at the other lion. "Hi, I'm Anyla. What'syourname?" She said, grinning. She talked so fast, it all seemed to be one word, rather than a full sentence.

A wide grin spread across Toboe's face as Choru talked. Sounded like his kind of thing to do. "Yes! Y'know what, Choru? I like the way you think. We should hang out more often."

Toboe's attention was diverted from Choru as a new cub arrived. He had never seen her before... Oh well. He may as well introduce himself to the hyper cub. "I'm Toboe. Wanna come on an adventure with us?" he asked. "Er, that is, when all the adults have gone." he added, glancing around, seeing that everyone was still asleep.

[Kizanii]

"Adventure?" The brown cub half-yelled. "Yeah, I wanna go with you two." She glanced at the lionesses. Her paws itched to leave already, but the adults seemed like they weren't going to budge for awhile. She thought of ways to get them to leave faster, but they'd all end with them getting in trouble. She looked back to Toboe, sitting herself down next to Choru. "Nice to meet you, Toboe." She said, then looked to the cub sitting next to her. "Where are we going anyway?" she whispered, trying to be sure the lionesses wouldn't ruin their plans.

[Juffy]

'Hey Anyla!' she said. The creamy cub dipped her head low. From the view of the adults, it was obvious the three cubs were plotting, with their small frames at a corner of the grove.
'I say, the Gorge,' Choru whispered, a glint in her eyes. 'I've heard there are great stampedes there. Of course, there hasn't been a while. But they tell me that...King Mufasa died there...' She added, in a hoarse whisper. The female cub looked at Anyla and Toboe. 'Unless you're scared of course.'

[Kizanii]

Anyla's first instinct was to say it was a bad idea, but the more she thought of it, the more she convinced herself nothing could go wrong. "No way, I'm not scared. There hasn't been a stampede in ages!" She remembered the tales of Mufasa and Simba, and Kings and Queens before them. She believed the story of Mufasa was just told to scare cubs like her, to keep away from the Gorge. Well, it wasn't going to work. She turned to Toboe, to see what he thought of this idea.
