the cullen’s are slowly settling back into a state of normalcy. Alice ditched her temper tantrums and Jasper forgave her for chucking her wedding ring at his face and walking out. They are both settling down back in Forks after being gone for close to five months.

Rosalie caught Emmett in bed with Tate Dawson, a human. That obviously caused a strain on that relationship. Rose has yet to speak to Emmett since the incident. She fled to an unknown destination leaving Emmett alone in Forks. Did we mention that Tate Dawson was first missing then found murdered after her little romp in the sack with Emmett? The police have a list of suspects however no one is certain who killed her. The angry wolves are insisting that poor Wmmett is the culprit. If they find any shred of proof that would be a direct violation of the treaty. Uh oh is a war in our future? Oh, did we mention the vaccine?! Well, no, we haven’t gotten that far yet. Keep reading.

There’s a new group in town, the lycans. The lycans are a wolf pack that are worse than the la push bunch. They’re out for revenge against not only the innocent Cullens, but all vampires in general. They want the wolves territory as well. The alpha seems hostile however not all individuals in the pack share his views. They are rumored to have a vaccine that is supposedly unlike any other. Now we are forced to wonder, is the vaccine real? Or is it in fact, all just a rumor? Nothing seems to be the same anymore, will anything be same? We can only find out on The Grey Remains.

The Vaccine

What does it do
The rumors have yet to be confirmed however a lot of information has been spread about a so called vaccine. Every vampire has a different opinion about the matter. Some find it extremely offensive as if they were some disease that needed to be cured. Others relish the opportunity to have a shot at a normal life. Even though the vaccine has yet to be approved or completed (due to some major flaws) the vampires have nothing but time.

Scientists have been working on this vaccine for hundreds of years. Seemingly as humans are more or less ignorant to the existence of vampires these scientists must indeed be either vampires or werewolves. The initial intentions of the vaccine are unknown. At this point the basics have been revealed but nothing further. The rumors have created quite a hype seemingly as the process the vaccine takes does seem possible.

As many are aware a vampire is literally the walking dead. They survive from drinking blood. It seems to replenish their system and keep them strong. They require no air, no sleep, and they do not get tired. How can this be reversed? Simple. Bring their organs back to life. Why has this not been done with humans? Quite honestly it is because the human organs deteriorate. A vampires are simply dead yet much like their bones they stay in place.

The vaccine suppresses the vampire venom. It jump starts their organs. and tissues. It restores life to their essential parts. Now the vaccine alone will kill them in most cases. Their organs will need some assistance in order to function properly. A blood transfusion s necessary as well as an incubator. The skin will need to be warmed. Their heart and lungs will also need mechanical assistance for at least an hour before the organs are strong enough to function on their own. After these procedures have been finished the newborn human ex-vampire will once again be truly human. Without these medical devices the vaccine will turn a vampire into a human and then their organs will fail. We all know what happens to a human who's organs fail.

The vaccine has one major drawback. It is temporary. The scientists have yet to discover the formula for lasting life. The time in which the vampire will be human is unknown. It depends on the individual. Some are able to fight off the venom for weeks (the longest time recorded is a month) while others are not as strong. They let the venom take over their body again after a few short minutes. One thing is for sure. The venom will eventually re-take the host. The individual will have to go through another painful three days of turning. They will once again be a newborn. Some may have more restraint against their blood lust then others. Keep in mind this vaccine is still just a rumor. It has yet to surface. The rumor itself began with the lycans.
Will it all end
