This site is post Deathly Hallows. You must have read the book to join. >> pre-registration> read all the rules.
> look at the canon list and read the subplots.
> register with only the first and last name of the character you want to apply for, everything in lowercase.
> if someone has already made an account for a character you are also interested in, but hasn’t been accepted, you are free to apply as the same character, and I will decide between the two.
> reservations are for admins and friends of admins mostly. >> after registration> fill in the application template for your character.
> the roleplaying sample does not have to be for a Harry Potter Roleplay.
> you may not make your character a metamorphmagus, werewolf or vampire, or basically have any super special powers.
> post it. the title should be as following: LASTNAME, firstname. if you’re not finished yet, then put it in incomplete. once you’re done, reply to your topic and say so.
> do not post anywhere else on the site. >> after acceptance> go to the face claim and reserve the play-by for your character.
> if you like, you may apply for a prefect or quidditch position.
> if you want, you can also apply for a journal/album or create a plot page for our character. The latter is highly recommended.
> have fun! Go ahead and join a roleplay and/or post in the OOC section. >> roleplaying> please post in third person and in past tense
> the minimum for a post is 3 paragraphs of 8 to 10 sentences.
> if absolute minimum for a post [bad days and writer’s block, we all have them] is two paragraphs.
> not even writer’s block is an excuse for a one-liner. literacy is expected of you.
> drama is nice, but don’t go overboard, e.g.: your character gets beaten and sexually abused by her father at home, cuts and is anorexic, gets raped by the guy she just got engaged to and discovers that she is pregnant. If you do decide to spice up your character’s life with something that can be considered quite ‘extreme’, post it in the subplot suggestion forum.
> as for death, try not to get your characters killed off, but if you think it’s necessary, pm an admin.
> if the contents of your roleplay can be considered mature (i.e. explicit sex scenes), just say so in the topic description and then it’s all go.
> try to keep your roleplays active, for the sake of the others. You are free to keep multiple roleplays going on, but only as many as you can handle. >> OOC and behaviour rules> try to treat everyone with respect and friendliness
> I’m not going to ban you from arguments, but make sure they stay civil and don’t turn into a kind of fuck-you-fuck-you-back thing
