( THEPERSONALITY )

Spock has many sides of his personality, though many people only see one. he's stoic, cold, and usually very aloof, due to his being raised on vulcan. he will not show emotion unless provoked, which is not highly recommended. because of his strength, his prominent temper can be a problem when he isn't in control of his emotions, like a typical vulcan. he has a 'computer brain', or so Kirk has called it, and enjoys doing quick math or logic problems when called upon by his human captain.

he also has his human side. due to mothering when he was little, he does enjoy being touched and held, even kissed on occasion. he does smile, though rarely, because of something Kirk has said or because of a rather comic situation. he is swift in covering these moment up, however, because he does believe his reputation demands that he behaves like a normal vulcan, along with despising his 'disadvantage'.

he is in a relationship with Nyota Uhura (if the character so wishes) whom is one of the only people to see the 'human' side of Spock, along with Captain Kirk. he is very careful to hide this side in front of the doctor, however, because they tend to bicker if they are together for a while.

( THEHISTORY )

Spock was born on vulcan 26 years ago, as S'chn T'gai Spock, sharing the first name with his ambassador father, S'chn T'gai Sarek. already this far in his life, he's different. his mother, a terran human, mothered him like most earth mother do: too much babying, especially compared to the strict vulcan society. he was often picked on at 'school' by the vulcan boys trying to elicit an emotional response from the young vulcan.

after his training, he applied for a place in Starfleet along with applying in the Vulcan Science Academy. he turned down the offer to join the Academy after a reference to his 'disadvantage'. in four years at the Starfleet Academy, he became a commander and an instructor, where he met Nyota Uhura, where he formed a romantic relationship with her.

after a while, he met James T. Kirk, whom had somehow managed to beat the kobayashi maru, which Spock had programmed to be unbeatable. during the trail, Starfleet received a distress call from vulcan, so they boarded the Enterprise and warped off to help.

they soon discovered, with some help from Kirk, that the romulans were attacking the planet to get back at the older Spock for allowing their home to be demolished. Spock served under Christopher Pike until he was asked to board the enemy ship. Spock was able to get down to the planet's surface in time to save his father and a few of the elders, but he lost his mother.

after being nearly attacked by Kirk, he dumped him on a remote planet and took over control of the Enterprise on her maiden journey. when Kirk was somehow able to warp back onto the ship with a random man named 'Scotty', Spock lost it and attacked the first officer. he was forced to give up control of the ship under Starfleet regulations.

when the romulans were defeated, Spock rejoined the crew as Kirk's first officer and they thus began their five year mission under Starfleet.
