Kindly unspoken
You show your emotion
And silence speaks louder than words
It’s lucky I’m clever
If I didn’t know better
I’d believe only that which I’d heard

the S U R F A C E
physique

Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 120 lbs
Hair Color: long dark brown hair
Eye Color: green
Body Type: slim/tone
Skin Tone: tan
Body Art:
Her mother's initials caged in the hands of a blue fairy with her birth and death date underneath the fairy on the left side of her neck. The other is just under her neck, between her shoulder blades. It is a dolphin leaping into the air with her father's birth and death date curving on its underbelly; his name inside the dolphin. Jaden’s last one is on her right ankle, closer to her calf than foot. It is her zodiac sign, Scorpio. The m with the devil's arrow at the tip of the m.
General Appearance:
Birthmark just under her right breast. A scar from the bottom of her left ear down to her shoulder from the "accident" that killed her parents. The tattoo covers most of it. She usually dresses in the most comfortable clothes. Jeans and tank tops, but sometimes she rather wear skirts and corsets or just anything that fits her body frame. Belly button, right cartilage, and two holes on each lobe.

on the I N S I D E
persona

Personality:
Jaden’s not shy, at least not generally. When meeting new people she does hold back, but not for too long. She's spontaneous and loud once triggered correctly, and she doesn't like showing her emotions to everyone, but people can usually see them when she dances. It's when she's most vulnerable.

Jaden doesn't like confrontations, but put in the situation and she will hold herself with the pride that her parents taught her to hold. She listens to what people have to say and then responds, having been raised to be polite and always try to listen to both sides before passing judgment.

She respects only when the proper respect is given. She will not disrespect anyone in the physical view unless egged, and this includes adults as well. She's not one to take crap that isn't deserved, be it from adults and peers alike.

She's loyal to her friends and a hard worker. Given the current environment, she will get the tasks needed done and done correctly. She can be a perfectionist, and if she feels that she did not do the job well the first time, she will restart it until she is satisfied with the end product.

You know she's really lost her temper when she speaks Spanish, very quickly.
Likes:
Jazz music, Hip-Hop, some Rap, Latin, Salsa. Basically pretty much any kind of music. If she hasn't heard it, she is willing to hear it out and then give her input. More exact:

These lists are by far, not completed as she is always finding something new to add to them. She definitely enjoys to dance. She loves anything chocolate, star gazing, beaches at night, and most of all: thunderstorms.

Spiders, Snakes, Cars, Guns, and Knives (but only when someone else is holding it)

in the B E G I N N I N G
history

Father: Joshua
Mother: Mariana
Siblings: Christian, Miguel, and Kevin
Other: Black toy puppy (yorkie) named Wiskey
History:
Jaden was born on October 29th, making her a Scorpio and the youngest child to Joshua and Mariana Nuñez. Her three older brothers (Christian, Miguel, and Kevin) were used to having siblings and did not become offended when she came into this world, but the complete opposite. They were rowdy boys, but they helped when they were needed and caused mischief the rest of the time.

In the first two years of her life, she played mostly with her brothers when they were doing things she could join in on, like in the backyard or in the park. But by age three, Jaden realized she had a new friend in the nearby playground, and he went by the name Andrew. While she was learning two languages (Spanish and English), it was difficult for her to communicate with the boy at times, but he stuck by her, learning bits and pieces of the Spanish language when she would forget he didn’t speak it.

Her brothers were always protective of her, and became more so when she began growing up at Andrew’s side. They realized early on into their relationship that he was one of the few men that would always treat her with respect, but they still worried, after all, they were men and knew what each one was after. Over their young childhood, Andrew and Jaden grew up together, stepping into each grade together, learning together, growing and exploring together. As they grew, they explored different interests; she moved to dancing while he moved to drama, but still they stuck by each other.

At age eight though, their relationship took a devastating blow. On a way to a dance recital, Mr. and Mrs. Nuñez along with Jaden were involved in a car accident. It was by no means their fault, the fault driver having sped off, but as is fate with accidents, this one suffered terribly. The collision took four cars and the lives of only two, Jaden’s parents, and left Jaden in critical condition. She spent two months in the hospital. Most people were giving up hope on the girl for she had been left in a state of coma, but four weeks after the accident, while Kevin was by her side, she opened her eyes and spoke to him.

From that moment on, her time in the hospital was for full recovery. She saw specialists that helped her with her speech and walking. She was told she would never dance again, but she made it a goal in her life to make liars out of them. Upon returning to her Miami home, she found that the world had not bothered to stop and wait for her, but had continued living. She was quickly uprooted from her home and taken to live with her aunt and uncle whom she held no memory of, ending up in Stoneville, California.

Staring to new honestly didn’t bother Jaden as much as one would have thought considering her best friend had left her stranded. Overhearing her brothers talking one night, Andrew had told all of their classmates that she was as good as dead and that he had never really liked her but was using her to become a better dancer since he was a decent enough actor for their age. The only thing that bothered Jaden was being in a completely new place. She knew no one and so pushed herself in her studies. It didn’t help when the kids at the new school realized she was “different” and left her as an outcast. She still struggled with her speech at times and was prone to horrible migraines and outbursts of pain. Dancing obviously didn’t help, but she ignored the doctors.

The more she concentrated on school work and dancing rather than getting friends, the teachers took a shine to her. They were the only people that knew her complete story, so most helped her without thought or question if she struggled. Her life wasn’t easy by any means, but with the extra help and studies, she got better and returned to her old self, even if she didn’t show it. The first time she ever laid eyes on Julian Steele was during P.E. class their sixth grade year at Stoneville Middle School. They had to pick teams for kickball and as per usual she was last, but it had been Julian that had continually told the captain of his team to pick her above others.

It was something that had been overlooked by everyone including Julian, but not by her. Because of his niceness that day, Jaden took a special shine to him, but never did anything about it. She admired from afar, not really letting anything come out of something that clearly held no meaning for anyone else, but considering that he’d been the first and only person to ever truly be nice to her, it meant something to her. It sure helped that he was the best looking guy she knew.

High school was much of the same shit just worse. The rumors about her became bigger and meaner and so did the teasing. Jaden pushed it all into dancing, ignoring everyone around her and continually reminding herself she didn’t have that much longer to go. The teachers still loved her while her fellow classmates didn’t, and on one day it all hit the fan. Working at a local dance studio, Jaden taught the younger girls ballet and after an afternoon session one day, she was walking home when she ran into someone she never expected to see again. Andrew.

He looked the same, just older, and even worse, he remembered her. While his friend ridiculed her, he attempted to be nice and try to figure out why she’d left him so many years before, but what had been done was done and she walked away. Her brothers worry much to her protests that she will be fine, but there is only so much pain one person can take, and even with the help of her aunt and uncle, it’s difficult. Everyone expected her to be perfect, and she was sick of being the best of the best. She wanted to get in trouble, date and experience “danger.” For once in her life she wanted to fit in, and she knew exactly who to ask for help. All she needs is the courage.

October took in every move Ethan made, every look, every touch, every sound. Slowly, the noise of the drill and everything around them disappeared, leaving her staring into the eyes of the one guy – man – she had fist fallen for, fully. As his hand caressed her cheek, she swallowed, her body tensing, yet unknown to him, and hopefully to Jack as well. Her eyes followed his when he looked down and she swallowed again, unsure of what to say if anything at all. Goosebumps erupted over her body as his thumb brushed over her lips and she found herself closing her eyes as the simple touch consumed her. She refrained from kissing his thumb, like she used to when they were together, but she couldn’t help let old feelings rise. It was beyond her control, as much as she hated to admit that to herself, but it truly was beyond her reach. He was confusing her though, showing her mixed feelings. They broke up because of him, so why was he doing this to her now? Why was he showing all these affections to her now, when she was taken and happy? Affections that he knew she cherished.

Opening her eyes, she sighed softly as she saw him looking at her. His eyes showed fear that she’d realized what he’d done, and she was sure hers showed question, but she refrained from asking any, once again. Swallowing, she watched as he looked at Jack’s hand as he continued moving her back, almost finishing the outline. She figured he’d clean up what he’d done and give her a potty break or something before continuing on, which she was always grateful for. October licked her lips as her eyes drifted down to Ethan’s lips, watching as he took his lower lip between his teeth. She could tell he was uneasy, and she had half a mind to tell him to go home because she knew it was her fault, but she didn’t. It was starting to be a recurring theme, wanting to say something but holding back. She hated arguing with him, and if any a conversation to stay away from it would be about their relationship.

“Baby-girl,” Ethan mumbled. It was as if she wasn’t supposed to hear him, but she did considering their closeness. She knew he had already said it once before, but this time it was different, it sounded different, if felt different. She waited for him to say something more, but if he did, she wouldn’t have heard it, because at that moment, the name registered. Her eyes glazed over and she looked down, her hair moving slightly, casting a curtain over her face. She felt her heart begin to race as memories upon memories stood out, but one in particular.

“I can’t do this,” October whispered tearfully and tugged on his arm, pulling him away from the people around them. She ignored the sad glances that were directed her way and simply rushed back out of the church. If she went all the way in, it would make it real. Seeing him, her brother, in there would just make it all the painstakingly real. Releasing Ethan’s hand, she looked around in desperation, wishing she could leave and just go. She didn’t care where to as long as it was anywhere but where she was now. Running her hands through her hair, she felt her chest begin to cave as her breathing became harder to manage. Falling to her knees, she felt Ethan catch her and pull her to him as she broke down. People stared from inside, she could feel the eyes watching her, but she didn’t care. She felt nothing but pain, nothing but sadness, nothing but guilt.

It took them ten minutes before they could muster the courage to go back inside, and that was with Ethan dragging her almost. The service hadn’t started yet; it would be another hour before then, but for now, it was an open casket viewing for family and only family. Everyone else waited outside as the Hart family gathered inside along with the Jameson and Lewis families. Jordan was standing at the head of the casket, staring down unblinking at her brother’s body with Garrison’s arms wrapped around her waist, holding her protectively as if at any moment she’d give out, as if he was the only reason she was still standing, still breathing. Riley and Cameron were seated in the back of the sanctuary, looking down. October knew Cameron was consoling Riley, it was a given.

As they neared halfway, October stopped and turned around, staring at Ethan with wide eyes. “You have to do this,” he whispered, his eyes apologizing to her and gently turned her back around, pushing her still towards the elevated casket. As they neared, October’s parents stood and watched their daughter as she finally made it to the front. Tears streaming, she closed her eyes and shook against Ethan, not daring to open them, to face the truth. “Tober,” Ethan whispered in her ear, gently kissing just under her ear, “open your eyes.”

Beyond anything that October ever wanted to do, she found herself opening her eyes to look down at the young man within the box. A gasping sob left her lips as she felt her knees weaken, but Ethan stayed, holding her tightly as she broke down once more. Seconds later, her parents were by her, pulling Jordan and Garrison to them, knowing neither one would let the other go. “It’s okay baby-girl. It’s okay,” Ethan whispered over and over into her ear, giving her a gentle squeeze as her parents released them. “Marshall,” October whispered, taking hold of Ethan’s hands and squeezing them tightly. She continued repeating her brother’s name as Ethan continued whispering into her ear, whispering that name. Baby-girl.

After the service was over and everyone had finally left the Hart family alone, October instinctively said bye to her parents and followed Ethan home. Looking around his bedroom, she began to undress when he locked his door, only to stop when she felt him behind her. She closed her eyes as his lips touched her neck, and with a sigh she slowly moved her head, turning it to capture his lips in hers. Breathing deeply against his lips, she sighed when she felt his hands slowly zip the dress down and move his hands to push the straps off her shoulders. Releasing themselves from the kiss, Ethan watched as the dress left his friend’s body, and without question, she stepped out of it and turned until she was facing him. Never taking their eyes off of each other, she undid his button down shirt, slowly pulling it off just as their lips met again.

As his pants touched the floor moments later, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing herself forcefully against him. “Make love to me Ethan. Take me away from this.” She begged against his lips, tears slipping down her cheeks once more. Gently, Ethan picked her fragile body up and walked towards his bed as their lips stayed locked, their tongues circling each others, fighting each other’s passion. A soft sigh escaped her lips when she felt the cool sheets of his unmade bed and his body weight over her own. They had been friends for years, bickering friends, but friends nonetheless. In the past month, they had slowly started realizing that their friendship wasn’t complete. While they still fought and argued, there was a tension there that they needed to resolve. They began dating, but until that moment, she’d refused to kiss him. She couldn’t explain why, because she never denied him when his lips found her neck or shoulder, or when his hands found themselves wandering over her smooth back or toned belly. She loved his touch and his kisses, but until that moment, she’d never felt his lips against her own.

Ethan was the first to pull away then, and he sighed gently when their lips parted. One arm still wrapped protectively around her waist, he stared down at her as his other moved over her skin, his fingertips skimming over her neck and down her body barely touching her breast and torso as he moved his hand over her, goosebumps erupting over her body. “Are you sure,” he asked softly, leaning forward to take her lower lip between his teeth. When she nodded and a breathless yes left her parted lips, his wandering hand took hold of her leg and pulled her closer to him, closing the distance between their bodies. Without any more words, they kissed as they each removed each other’s last articles of clothing. Ethan took his time exploring October’s body, delicately showing his appreciation for her, and once he knew she was completely ready for him, he stopped moving, waiting for her to open her eyes and look at him. When she did, he slowly pushed inside of her, swallowing at the tension of their virgin bodies.

October never complained as he took her for his own. It’s what she wanted, what she’d begged him for, but as they began giving themselves to each other, becoming lost in their thorough of passion for one another, October found herself forgetting about their day, about the pain she had been feeling since her brother’s death. October found herself with one thing in mind; how much she loved the boy on top of her giving her such adoring pleasure, and as she came, she arched her body against his, calling his name, never realizing that his lips were by her ear. The only thing she realized were his words right before he came inside of her. “I love you baby-girl; always and forever.”

October swallowed and looked up when she heard her name being called. She saw Jack standing next to her, frowning softly. Sighing, the man got down on his knees and cupped her face. Wiping at her tears, he gave her a soft smile and kissed her forehead. “He’ll always be watching you kiddo. He’s proud of you, and don’t you ever let anyone tell you different. Now go, take a breather in our break room and I’ll go get you in five minutes.” Jack said before moving away from her and glancing at Ethan. He said nothing, but walked towards the front of the shop, leaving them alone. October turn and looked up at Ethan. She held his gaze for a moment before slowly moving away from the seat and releasing his hand, her stomach churning when their last fingers became unlaced.
