Ugh, I am so mad!!!!

I read in a magazine a few weeks ago that Devon had a January 9th court date. I decided to go to it. I just sat in the back of the court room. I got there early and found his name on the list outside the court room. I guess he was supposed to be there at 8:30 but was almost last on the list of about 30 other people. Under violation it just says '243( B )' and it said this was the arraignment.

I sat in the court room for awhile and finally about 9:30 he showed up. He came with his girlfriend. She looks REALLY young and has blond hair. At first I thought it was his sister until I heard him call her 'Babe'. I saw them both carrying luggage. Devon made some comment to one of the guards that he 'just got in'. So, Devon came in the court room and I guess his gf stayed outside with the luggage. He just showed up alone without any lawyer. After about 45 minutes, I had to leave to move my car because I was parked in a 2 hour spot. I figured since Devon was almost last on the list that I could get back before he went up. I walked out to my car and moved it to another lot. When I got back, he was gone. :| I was gone for about 20 minutes and it figures he was called up during that time. I have no idea what he got! Well, at least I saw him. He didn't notice me at all. I was in the back of the court and I didn't even make eye contact with him.

Devon still looks good. He is quite skinny and has really dark hair with some red in it. He had almost a buzz cut. Very tall!

Wow i really wish you had gotten to hear his case. I still don't really understand from other posts here what he was actually charged with. Everyone keeps saying it's drug related but I've not read that anywhere.

I looked up what the violation was '243( B )' and it just says that code is for resisting arrest, so that is all I think it is. I don't think it had to do with drugs or hitting his gf. I believe those are just rumors. That is part of the reason I went though, to find out what exactly he was arrested for.

So if the charge was resisting arrest then he was going to be arrested for something else or there wouldn't of been antthing to resist. Hmmm confusing.

Jamie, did you see Dev's car or anything? Hmmm..maybe we could find out what he got by calling the court or something LOL, that's so outta my league.

I figured there was an original charge, but it wasn't listed. According to the police site that Devon was listed on, his original court date was at the end of November. I was going to go to that but I had to work.

It was so weird listening to all the cases that went on. I mean people who had DUI's were getting probation. I kept hearing lawyers trying to make deals for their clients.


I don't even know how Devon got to the court house. He must have come directly from the airport. I saw a tag for LAX on his luggage. I don't know if someone dropped him off or if he arrived by bus or supershuttle. He must not have driven to the courthouse himself if he had to bring all his luggage inside the court. If he did have a car, I am sure he would have left all his bags in it. I thought he would have a lawyer with him, but maybe he was using a public defender. I don't know.

I have to say, from what I could tell, Devon seemed really nice. I saw him open the courtoom door a few times for people. He seemed relaxed.

BTW: I am tempted to call the courthouse to find out what happened. But, I don't think they'd tell me. Isn't all that information private?

I don't think it's considered private since the court is open to the public. I mean if you hadn't had to go out to your car you would of heard it. So it can't be to private.

OMG!!

I cannot believe how easy that was! I called up the court right now and just asked how I could find out the outcome of a case. I was asked the case number. I thought it was mentioned on that police website, but I guess that was the wrong number. I told the man on the phone that the defendant was in court yesterday. So, he asked me the name of the person. I told him and then he started giving me the case number (weird!). He told me the case was continued until February and the 'defendant is still out on bail'.


So, that's all I know for now.

so now that poor man has to wait til febuary :(

well I hope he is staying clean and is finally learning something.

p.s. is his girlfriend pretty? :lol: I'm curious, I know it's sad.

Ok, I checked this board a couple of weeks ago and saw that this thread was gone. I thought it was deleted for some reason. lol

I have no idea what happened with Devon's case. I'd like to know. When I called up the court back in January, I was told he was still out on bail and that the new hearing was on February 24th. I didn't go to it. I hope everything went well for him though.

To Dora, you asked about Devon's girlfriend. She was pretty, but at the same time she looked respectable. She didn't look trashy or like some kind of model. I probably would have walked out of the court house if he showed up with some bimbo. lol

Aww that's good for him :) Well, lets hope she knocks some sense into him, by making more movies :P
