I just figured out that my two turtles will fight with each other
to get to a piece of ham I hold in my fingers at the top of the water...
And even go so far as to snap at each other while eating.
They sure don't do that over the pellet things the previous
owner gave me for them. (When I asked if they would eat anything
else, he told me no. Silly boy..a bit of net surfing sorted that out!)
I seen them on an ad being given away for free as the previous
owner no longer wanted them. I think they are the bees knees!
The smallest one's shell is about the size of the palm of my hand and
the other, bigger one is about half again as big.
I was skeptical when the owner told me they were both a year old!
But seeing how greedy the bigger one is, I now know why!!
They are both apparently female...is there any way to tell for sure?
I don't even know what kind of turtles they are, apart from being
terrapins...
