Hi all,

a few weeks ago, the EPC light on our 2001 Fabia 1.4 MPi came on for a few minutes, it never came back on, today it did and all the brake lights stopped working..... sad.gif is there a link .... I am now confused.....

It's almost definately linked, you probably need a new brake light switch....very common Fabia and Octavia fault. I've seen the EPC light come on even if 2 of the brake light bulbs have blown.

Thanks Daverapid, you were 100% correct, the culprit was the brake switch, the Fabi is now back to normal, having also been serviced she now runs incredibly smooth, also changed the spark plugs which did improve the car's peformance.
