Any ideas?
'96 felly estate (non-MPi), low on miles, runs sweet as anything until it warms up and gets under heavy load.
Normal town driving is fine, just, on motorway if I get to an incline, keeping the foot still or pressing down a little to tackle the incline, the car will suddenly "choke" as if either the fuel mixture is way off (my gut feeling hence the term choke) or the ignition is off.
This will happen on average motorway inclines, at whatever speed around 70
However....
If I go at the hill with my foot slightly moving up and down (even so little as you'd not really notice any accel/decel from doing so) it will fly up at 70 or even 80+, no complaints (in fact doing this, the speed usually creeps up)
No such issues driving up hills in an urban environment, only on the motorway or I have noticed it on long sustained climbs such as Snake Pass, again, just "waggling" my right foot keeps it happy.
