Seras Amadis Nickname/Alias:Gender:
18Species: MiralukaHomeworld: OssusForce Sensitive:
YesBody InformationClothing Outline:
Seras' attire consists of standard Padawan apparel. She dawns the simple robes of a Jedi in light tan with an over tunic and under tunic reaching down to her mid-thigh secured in place with a dark almond sash. She wears loose fitting leggings and sturdy brown boots, and a long, flowing dark russet cloak with hood. Seras is accustomed to hiding items about her person and has found the garments of a Jedi more than adequate to conceal a credit chip or comlink. Face Outline:
The most notable aspect of Seras' appearance is the simple dark bandage that has been wrapped around her head and under the hair to cover the empty eye sockets in the Miralukese tradition. The bandage is rarely removed and rarer still are those who have looked upon Seras' uncovered features. Her face is slender and well proportioned with a small mouth and full lips. Seras' wears her long hair long and it's one of the areas where she does exhibit a little self-expression. Like most Miraluka, her hair is light in pigmentation. Strands fall about her face and across the bandages. Portions of her hair have been gathered and braided, wrapped loosely with various beads and trinkets.Body Outline:
Seras' palms are callused from the decade plus of lightsaber usage and she sports a couple light scars and blemishes from her sparring and training. They do little to detract from her overall appearance. Physical Build:
Seras is petite and slim with alluring curves that would definitely be an asset if she wasn't of the Order. From her lifetime of training within the Jedi Order, Seras is in excellent condition and possesses superior muscle tone throughout her core, arms, and legs.Height:
- Since Seras is Miraluka, she has a masterful command over Force Sight from its daily use and additional training.
- Seras is highly Force-sensitive, though she does not yet have enough experience to understand much of what she feels through the connection, her insights can be profound at times.
- Some of Seras' notable force powers, the ones she has received the most guidance in, are Revitalise, Force Stun, Plant Surge, and Force Healing. She does exhibit a high degree of control over the Core force abilities.
- Seras possesses conventional medical training and while her level of knowledge is nothing compared to a licensed doctor, she can hold her own under pressure and can administer triage and perform a wide number of basic medical procedures in the field.
- She is a quick study, possesses an eager mind, and alongside her curious nature, she is open to new ideas and new ways of thinking.
- Seras is skilled in lightsaber combat though it is far from her strongest talent.
- From her training, Seras is fast, agile, swift, has high endurance and stamina, with a good sense of balance, and quick reflexes. Although strong for someone of her weight and stature, she must rely on speed to defeat her enemies.
- By her own nature, Seras is a quiet creature and takes naturally to stealthy behaviours. And while Seras wouldn't call it creeping, she is capable of moving quietly without drawing attention to herself.
- While capable of piloting a starship from point A to point B, she has little experience with space combat or dogfight manoeuvres. She knows enough of the workings of a starship to correct and compensate for errors as they occur, but has little knowledge of the actual engineering involved.

Seras' view of herself is that of a Jedi and without the Order she believes herself to be nothing. She has fully embraced the Jedi lifestyle and everything that it encompasses. She shuns possessions and the materialistic lifestyle. All of Seras' belongings could be packed into a small sack if required. She is quiet and respectful of her elders and peers. She has an inquisitive mind and is curious of the universe around her.
Overall, her demeanour is positive. Seras is humble to a fault and an optimist at heart, believing that no matter how dark things seem at the time, everything will turn out well in the end. Sometimes she leans too heavily on this optimism and it can blind her to desperateness of a situation. Though it can be difficult at times, Seras forces herself to see the good in every situation and person and believes herself to be a good judge of character. Seras' trust is gained easily and hard to lose. She's willing to give second chances to those that many wouldn't give one to. While a noble trait, it can be a dangerous line to tread.
Selfless and dedicated, Seras normally works herself to exhaustion to reach whatever goal is set before her. Seras possesses a disciplined mind and has always had a strong connection with the force. She cannot imagine how some go their entire lives without experiencing something that is essential to her life. She is fluent in Basic and in an attempt to get a better grasp of her culture, Seras is learning Miralukese. When addressing others, Seras rarely looks them in the face. Some view this as rude, but eye contact has never been that important to the Padawan.
Seras is a pacifist. She doesn't believe in causing harm to others, even in self defence, and will try to talk her way out of a situation before resorting to violence. But be warned, Seras is more than capable of defending herself when no other option is in sight and is mentally prepared to take that step. She would resort to force especially when the lives of others are at risk. Seras would gladly put herself in the line of fire to protect an innocent. She can be impulsive in certain situations and wouldn't think twice about rendering aid to another, even an enemy. Her pacifism even extends to her diet and Seras is a committed vegetarian.
Strangely enough, Seras dislikes the iconic weapon of the Jedi. She sees the lightsaber as a terrible weapon capable of horrendous injury and excruciatingly painful death. Her heart is not present with the swings and thrusts and although her speed, agility, and skill create many openings, she hesitates. Even with that in mind, she is more than proficient wielding the exotic blade and has many years of experience with it. History:
Seras joined the Jedi Order at a very young age, so young in fact that any memories pertaining to her parents have been long lost. She was born on Ossus to a pair of Miraluka that emigrated to the blossoming planet on the Outer Rim many years before Seras' birth. Their baby was only nine months old when an aged man garbed in robes approached them in the street and started the wheels of fate turning. He explained the destiny and potential their little girl had before her and what she would become. Hesitantly and after much deliberation over a number of weeks, Seras was given to the Order to be raised in the Jedi way.
The young Seras was placed into a clan and begun her training at the temple. Having already a strong connection with the force, she easily stood out from her peers. She was a natural and many of the Masters expected great things from her. But concerns grew as Seras matured and begun to ask questions about her biological family. The Initiate was distraught to learn that her mother and father had simply handed her to the Order. She resented their decision and there was worry that it could twist into something darker. The young Miraluka emerged from her bitter fog after many hours of counselling. After speaking with the Jedi who discovered her and listening to his harrowing story of how torn her parents were, she understood that it was done for her benefit and it wasn't a decision they made lightly.
Seras was chosen at the age of ten to be the Padawan of Master Gann. He was influential in Seras' development. He bestowed in her a healthy curiosity and an unyielding desire to help those less fortunate. He showed her that despite sentients most terrible accomplishments they were good people that only wanted peace and security. Master Gann was a great healer and saw great potential within the young Seras. Master Gann skimped on lightsaber training and focused on the more ethereal aspects of Jedi training. He instructed her in the ways of the Force, explaining how the unfathomable energies could be moulded to suit ones will. One meditation exercise Gann had her practice was accelerating the lifecycle of plants. It was an excellent tool to control the subtle nuances of the Force and learn how to influence the ebb and flow to a desired end.
Master Gann's instruction continued for many years and he had the opportunity to put her talents to practice during a bitter conflict on a far off world. Master Gann took it upon himself to settle the conflict between the sparring factions and departed with his Padawan immediately. Seras had been warned beforehand, but nothing could have prepared her for the unbridled carnage of open warfare.
As Gann went about negations, he sent Seras into the refugee camps and field hospitals to render aid. It was here that she utilised many of the skills she had been taught and also increased her arsenal of talents to include conventional medicine. She never quit, there were so many to help and she was only one person. She felt the weight of the planet on her shoulders and received little comfort as she nursed the wounded back to health; there was always more waiting. Seras worked herself to exhaustion, collapsing from dehydration on more than one occasion. Even her dreams were little comfort, filled with the tormented groans of the dying, she got hardly any sleep. Little did the Padawan know that she was being tested.
With a peaceful solution ratified, Master Gann took Seras away from that desolate world. He was proud of her dedication and knew in his heart that she would make a skilled healer and powerful Jedi given the time and care to flourish. She still had much to learn, however, but this was the first step on her path. Seras never knew the trial she had passed and she took from that distant planet more than her Master's approval. She took with her the horrors of war and true suffering. Her soul had been marred by what she had experienced over the months and those experiences remain with her to this day. But out of the pain and anguish came a strengthened resolve to provide assistance in any way she could, forgoing her own personal safety to help others.
This was also an exercise in futility. Being a healer himself, Master Gann knew the risk those in his profession faced. The desire to save life was strong and understanding that not everyone could be saved was a difficult lesson. By healing one, another may die and choices made directly affected that result. Seras saw that first hand and can still hear the heart wrenching pleas as she worked. These lessons could never be taught; they could only be learnt and experienced the hard way.
Shortly after their return, Master Gann presented his Padawan with the components to her own lightsaber. Seras was still using her training 'saber and was reluctant to upgrade. He knew his student's dislike for the weapon but it would be something that Seras had to overcome. She did not yet understand that a lightsaber was more than a weapon to the Jedi. As expected, she was less than pleased with the present but smiled gratefully all the same.
Although Seras was never on a first name basis with her Master, she felt indescribably close to the man. He was like the father she never had and Seras believed that she could be herself in his presence and he would not judge. Master Gann was always there, always willing to listen to her troubles and answer her questions, which were frequent. The pair got on extremely well. He was the ideal Jedi, stoic and mindful of his emotions. Truth be told, Gann was a role model for Seras. She strived to be a Jedi like him.
But before Master and Padawan could plan a trip to the crystal caves of Ilum, Gann was struck by a fatal accident; an unfitting end for such a great Master. He had been alone at the time. Seras felt his sudden demise. She rushed to his side but it was too late. He was gone. Seras felt such great grief; it was indescribable. Although she had experienced death on a scale that few could imagine, this one hurt the most. For weeks she didn't know how she would continue. But Seras soon came to the realisation that she had to. Master Gann had given her his most precious gift; his knowledge, experience, and wisdom. She couldn't waste that. With ample sorrow still in her heart, the girl pulled herself together the best she could and continued forward.RP Sample:
