Dragons of every hue grace this tropical paradise. A lush jungle valley that boarders the ocean's Great Bay. Magnificent waterfalls laced with rainbows in their mist decorate the Weyr. A large field spreads out at the southern end of the valley. A refreshing lake nestles up against the edge of the Weyr Bowl. A small wall of stones between the jungle and Bowl borders the inner and outer Weyr. Even the beach is within walking distance, just on the other side of the Bowl's wall through a breathtaking arch. Dragons rest upon the heights, people bustle about the Weyr. Great birds called LifeWings soar peacefully and calm the Weyr with song.
~Rilora and Gold Archith are put to the test as new leaders, watched by elder Riders with a discerning eye. A few new Bronzes are expected to transfer in soon. New blood is vital for the Weyr’s survival.
Gold Flight in mid-July, Hatching in August~Weyr Games event ongoing throughout July. Race, weave and speed to the top! Or find your calling in team sports! All welcome. Talent show to be held in the evening in the Dining Hall. All are welcome to sign up.
~The jungles around the Weyr, once safe, are staring to grow wild once again. The thick groves in the south east have been left unmanaged for Turns. Weyrfolk working in the south west valley fields say they’ve lost a few more herdbeasts than usual lately. People are getting uneasy. With the trees so thick it’s impossible for most dragons to venture into the jungle’s forbidding groves.
~LifeWings and their Riders revel in the new acceptance Pern has for them, their dark past forgotten. There are still some, however, who don’t trust the winged healers.
~Relations between Benden and Rainbow Mists grow tense. The two progressive Weyrs battle for the public’s approval, striving for their way of life to be accepted and affirmed.
