Breaking News: Grand Admiral Xira Stone joins the ranks of martyrs that have sacrificed their lives for the great cause of the Confederation. Above the skies of Praesitlyn the shuttle carrying the esteemed Grand Admiral Stone suffered an attack from several teams of terrorists. There were no survivors.

Constance Bravil
"With the humility to never believe this herself, Constance is a step above the average Alliance member, or even other Alliance Intelligence workers. Having deeply immersed herself into the Confederation, putting herself at great risk for over a decade, she's a vital part of the Alliance network. Not only does she find the ability to do the hardest duty out there, she also manages to be a great leader for Renegade Squadron, without coming across as backstabbing to her friends on the Fish side of the pond. It takes a great writer to manage such a character believably and effectively and keep everyone reading, but Manda manages it in leaps and bounds and goes above and beyond what anyone could expect from a simple 'plant' concept."

Personal Information
Name/Handle: Jazz
Age: 24
Gender: Male
How did you find us?:I asked Miss Cleo

Have you read the rules?:Of course Masters. I found them quite… enlightening, if mostly based upon common sense.

Character Information
Name: Xion
Nickname/Alias: Xi
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Species: Epicanthix
Homeworld: Kooriva
Force Sensitive: Yes

Body Information
Clothing Outline: As ever, Xi dresses as a Jedi, in loose fabrics that don’t inhibit his movement nor encumber him with their weight, yet fit well at key points to keep them in place. Though he both appreciates and takes some amusement from his master’s colorful garb (when he’s able to catch a glimpse of it), his own is simple and monochromatic, though does stand out a bit perhaps in that rather than the common shades of brown, he’s taken to wearing robes bleached to a near perfect white. Of course, if the situation calls for it, he’s willing to wear most anything.
Face Outline: Smooth and lightly tanned, Xion’s face is marred only by the occasional freckle or other textureless color alteration. His eyes shine a deep blue, alight with curiosity and often with laughter. His hair is uncommonly light for his species, though is still more of a brown with lighter highlights than a true blonde. It is also most unruly and tends to resist attempts to make it lie flat.
Body Outline: Likely due in no small part to his genetics, Xion’s build is formidable, particularly for a young man not yet fully developed. The warrior tendencies of Epicanthix shows clearly in how well his musculature took to the training he’s undergone most of his life. While still far more slender than bulky, his physique is impressive for more reasons than just his height. That height comes in part from limbs that are slightly longer than average, his torso in turn a touch shorter than one might expect given the length of his arms and legs. The difference is subtle however and is far from being a deformity.
Physical Build: Powerfully athletic
Height: 6’4”

Combat Information
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Padawan
Class: Guardian
Weapon: Lightsaber
Spaceship: None
Skills:
  • Taking the title literally, he sees it as his duty to guard and protect not only other members of the order, but any throughout the galaxy who need it, thus he has devoted himself to combat training and is truly exceptional with a lightsaber for a padawan.
  • While not the trained and deeply empathic diplomat that his master is, he does have a genuinely friendly demeanor that can help disarm otherwise volatile situations, and has some ability to read people.
  • He can play the Arconan flute decently well and often does so when not otherwise occupied. He also occasionally composes poetry, though it’s a very personal thing for him and it’s not common for even Hedan to be presented with any (which is just as well, since many would say he’s not very good).
  • His emphasis is on lightsaber and unarmed combat, and so has primarily trained with Force powers that enhance those capabilities, but has basic skill with other standard powers, telekinesis and whatnot.
  • Following his desire to never cause harm to living creatures, learning to heal them has been a great interest, leading him to devote what time he could to developing Force healing ability. While not as proficient as one who focused on such above combat, he has grown to an above average degree of power for a padawan on their way to being a Guardian.
Additional Items: Padawan Robes (white), Jedi Utility Belt, Arconan Flute

Lightsaber Information
Handle Design: “Stock” saber, not having built his own yet. pic
Blade Color: Blue
Focusing Crystals: Adegan - Mephite
Learnt Lightsaber Techniques: Shii-Cho, Soresu
Mastered Lightsaber Techniques: None

Additional Information
Personality: When in need of a smile or a friendly ear, Xi would be an excellent place to look as he seems ever ready with both. Genuine joy nearly bubbles out of the young man upon spotting most any of his fellow Jedi. While not insensitive to those in pain, he does lean toward the philosophy of laughter being the best medicine. This medication is commonly shared with anyone within earshot, the boy’s deep guffaws often echoing throughout the halls of the Ossus temple. Given this habit, he’s glad his laughter has transformed to the rumbling reverberations it now is, rather than the high giggles they were only a few years ago.

Having no recollection of life outside the order, Xi is usually content, doubting whether his life could have turned out any better had it not taken the road it has. He has exuberantly embraced Master Hedan’s philosophy of avoiding violence and even should it break out, doing one’s utmost to end the battle without inflicting harm or allowing it to come to others. This extreme value placed on life has, almost ironically, spurred him toward extensive combat training, mostly at the hands of his master. Though slightly naïve, the young epicanthix does understand that each moment he delays a fight’s end by refusing to simply finish an opponent is a moment an ally or other innocent could suffer. He must be exceptionally outstanding should he hope to so thoroughly overcome any threat. Such is his thinking anyway.

On the flip side this ambition to be the best, noble though its root may be, can lead him to become more competitive than he ought. He would not go so far as to injure a sparring partner; he keeps his reason for training too much at the fore of his mind for that. Still he may push himself too far, or stubbornly refuse to quit an endeavor that truly is beyond his capabilities.

Another issue that may cause some older Jedi a bit of concern is how attached Xion grows to those he spends time with. His deep connection to his master is expected, but there are many others who have had a significant impact on his life and about whom a certain stodgy councilman would say he has become “inappropriately devoted” to.

History: Xion has no real self-identity except as a Jedi. Apparently he was born on Kooriva, but any natal memory of that place has long since fled his mind. In 2979 BBY a young, and quite green, Jedi Knight came to the world, sent to investigate rumors of Confederate brutality and offer what reparations he could. The Jedi would not directly oppose the Confederation, but healing for its victims was something they were more than willing to provide. In this particular case, the damage was too extensive for aught to be done. Almost.

Arriving at the scene of a small homestead, the compassionate Knight, one Lysander Odakota, found three adults and two adolescents dead, executed for Force knew what “crime.” And yet there was life still in the place, and life that resonated strongly in the Force. An infant boy, in the galaxy no more months than a single hand’s worth of digits, was left struggling in the debris, barely able to move at all. Using the Force to preserve the child, the Knight made all speed back to the Jedi temple on Ossus.
There the child remained, raised by a collection of Jedi and given what he needed. He was not adopted per se by any particular member of the order, perhaps in an attempt to keep Xion from growing too attached to any of the older Jedi, or they to him. How successful that goal has proven is questionable. Suffice to say the boy was raised well, and taught Jedi philosophy from the point that his mind could begin to reason on. His upbringing was not unlike that of any other youngling who was given to the Jedi at an extremely early age, and for his own sake, many years passed before he was told of how he’d come to them.

Despite the advisement against it, Xion made connections. In a foreshadowing mimicry of the woman who would become his master, he’d grown so close to the other younglings that he was reluctant to leave them to become a padawan learner. In Xion however, the reservation was strong enough for him to politely refuse when he was selected, choosing to stay with his friends rather than progress. This of course caused some concern, and while his wishes were respected, no further offers came. As Xion’s thirteenth birthday (or at least the date they’d decided to use as his birthday) approached, he began to think he had made a mistake. Much as he was glad for the further years he’d spent with the other younglings (though of course the eldest of those left, selected as padawans), the notion of being forced to leave terrified him.

Though this fear served as another warning to let him pass from the order’s ranks to some, he caught the attention of one seasoned Jedi. Perhaps it was the kindred spirit Hedan Nau sensed in the young epicanthix, who already stood nearly a head above the diminutive togruta, which convinced her to make the offer. Ecstatic, Xion of course accepted. After she became his master, Hedan felt he deserved to know the truth, so when he asked about it, she divulged all the knowledge the order had about how he had come to be. Following that, he predictably began growing increasingly fond of Lysander.

Over four years have passed since then, and Xion has grown greatly in a variety of ways. He now towers above most in the order and has shown no sign of stopping. His combat prowess has advanced well over tenfold between his increases in strength and agility and the expert training at the hands of his master. Many of her defensive techniques have been passed on, and the boy’s natural affinity for combat has aided him in excelling at all she’s taught in that field. Unlike the hesitance she had shown in sparring matches during her own early training, Xion will leap at the chance to spar, regardless who it’s against. Combat, when he knows it is false and no participant is in any more danger than is inherent in strenuous physical activity, does not intimidate him in the least, so confident is he in his ability to not harm someone who isn’t truly trying to harm him.

Hedan’s lessons have consisted of far more than combat. Art in its myriad of forms was never really appreciated until the education and perspective she imparted, the adolescent discovering he actually has quite the poet’s soul, needing only his empathic master to draw it out. Aside from his many other lessons she has taught him how to play the Arconan flute quite admirably. He’s still nothing to her, but as she prefers the Ferroan alluta, they complement each other well. In fact, a unique sort of meditation they often use involves each of them playing their instrument with no predetermined course, simply allowing the music to flow together as they dwell in the Force.

Though Xion and Hedan have gone on several missions since he entered her tutelage, the situation has yet to degenerate into violence any time he’s been present. He was not involved in the assault on Korriban, Hedan forbidding it. Real combat has him a bit apprehensive, merely because it is unknown. There is an element of excitement, Xion viewing it as the truest test of his abilities, but he tries to stifle that emotion. It seems unbecoming of a Jedi.

RP Sample: One of Xion's poems.

Azure borders surround dark pools.
Hues flutter in the breeze.
Cream and crimson feet always moving.
"Master" I say, but "Mother" do I mean?
I'm an open book, most pages blank.
Write in me.
