Teeth Questions

What is your nightly routine? I usually brush my teeth then floss them then brush them again. I love my teeth to be super clean and plaque free. I also use mouth wash. I love me some white teeth (on myself and others).

Lately I had been slacking on flossing so I just now flossed them in depthly and it was gross. I got so much plaque out! I flossed them several times to get the hidden plaque out. Now my mouth feels extra fresh and clean! I love that feeling.

What kinda of toothpaste do you all use? I use Colgate Whitening toothpaste! It works!

I brush, i floss, and if i have some around, i mouth wash. Twice a day.

Straight white teeth make SUCH a difference I think.

Crooked, yellow teeth also make a difference.

My teeth are a bit yellow because I didn't look after them at all as a kid, but they're not THAT bad, so it's alright.

I brush and mouthwash in the morning, and then brush, floss and mouthwash at night.

I had to lose a tooth today after days of very bad toothache pain Granted its at the back of my mouth and you cant notice it but still...Im actually really upset over it!!!!

A lot of peoples are though, it's normal.

What mouthwash do people use?

I saw some new Listerine the other day though that said "Milder flavour". Thought I'd give it a try and it still fees you're putting acid in your mouth. Dentyl PH please!

I went to the dentist and he told me not to brush to much or too hard. Enamel wears off after years of improper brushing technique. Ideal brushing requires a very light touch and in circular motion for about 20 seconds max for teeth. I found that hard to believe!!!

And then I asked him about plaque and yellow teeth...

He told me that brushing & flossing helps clean the teeth and tongue but that it can't actually remove plaque or whiten teeth. Teeth need to be whitened & cleaned every 6 months by a professional. I thought he was just trying to sell me more services but then I got around to asking and it seems to be true.

After that I had to get my gums irrigated (It hurt like hell) because my gums were swollen from years of over brushing. I would normally brush for 2 minutes...apparently I overdid by 300%.


I love my teeth but I think my dentist sold me on 2 extra visits just for cosmetic purposes that the insurance won't cover. Damn him!

I love flossing, it's so fun.

Everyone knows your *supposed* to brush for 2 minutes. Even electronic toothbrushes have timers which are 2 minutes.

I brush twice a day (sometimes 3) mouthwash and floss at night time. I hate flossing, such a chore.

I take good care of my teeth as I had to wear a total of 3 retainers and train tracks in my younger years. Would be a shame for all that time and pain to go to waste!
