The year is 1870. The West has not yet been won, but many believe it will only be a matter of time. Some, however, remain unconvinced. Cowboys still roam the great plains and Native Americans struggle to keep their lands. It is a time where you can be shot for looking at someone the wrong way, where wanted posters show sketchy mug shots of outlaws, and where the horse and gun are part of everyday life.

Currently, the Railroad Company is striving to build straight across hundreds of miles of ranch land and not everyone is pleased. Renegade Indians fight back and outlaws run rampant. There is chaos as even the simple ranch hands begin to fight back. The Company will not simply quit, however. They begin to employ hired guns to protect their workers, but this only serves to make the situation worse.
