For those users who spend thier life in darkness or want to spend money on the latest technology then there is LED headlamps.

LED Head light section

Similar price to compliant retrofit HID lamp assemblies but with around 10 times the life and about 50% less current draw than halogen.

They would look great on a Land Rover defender.

Watch this space...we already have a few commercial Land Rover users who are taking them. I will try to get some pics when fitted.

Performance wise they fall in between halogen & HID on a modern car which translates to HUGE leap forward on a Defender.

Just adding 4.5" LED headlamps to the range, seperate low & high beams.

I will post pictures shortly.

To see it in action during the daylight sun click here for a video.

The cost will be over £1200 - £1500 per pair for the 7 inch which is on par with HID replacement headlamps, which is completly different from sticking HID bulbs in a halogen housing. ninja.gif

These lamps are most cost effective outside the military when used on either machinery subject to water & vibration or vehicles used at night or in a dark enviroment.

The PAR 36 / 4.5 inch we have our first set but are awaiting pricing, as the low and high beam are in seperate housings the technologies can be mixed to reduce cost, ie low beam LED and high beam incandescent.
