Propaganda is a site for mature role-players and artists. Because of this, you must realize there will be content including sex, violence, drug use, cursing, etc. We do ask, however, if your topic is going to contain extreme themes, that you mark it as 'mature.'
This is a site for all genres. There is no specific plot or theme you must follow, therefore you do not have to register with a first or last name of your character. However, we ask you register with a reasonable username. No 'sexigurl181818181.'
Keep your spam to the spam board, and your drama to places where the rest of the site can't see. Juvenile spats should be kept to PMs or IMs. Otherwise, we have the right to laugh at you.
Your house heads have just as much authority over you as admins and moderators do.
This is more of a pet peeve than anything, but back seat modding will not be tolerated. Directing a confused new member to the right board any form of courtesy, really is appreciated, but please know your boundaries.
If you have done something for which you deserve points - referred a member, made graphics, etc - please post in the "earning points" thread of the bank section of the site. It makes keeping track of your earnings much easier for administrators and contest heads.
WRITING EXPECTATIONS
Propaganda is an advanced/literate site. Therefore we expect you to come here with a good knowledge of grammar, spelling and style. We also expect you to be able to produce a response of 300-400 words. Keep in mind this is not a necessity for every post, although we do request you keep your responses at least three paragraphs long. If you're struggling to produce 300-400 words, then perhaps you should rethink application. I don't mean to be discouraging, but in all honesty, that isn't as much as it might sound. Writer's block is understandable. It happens to the best of us, but please do your best to give your partner something to respond to. If they ask you to give them more to work with, we expect you have the knowledge of how to do so.
None of us are going to tell you how to role-play. If your partner allows it, go ahead and god-mode, power-play, do whatever the hell you want. Despite common belief, god-moding and power-playing are not the devils work. Some role-plays call for it in order to move things along in an orderly fashion. However, if your partner does not approve of it, respect their wishes and control only your character.
You are the only ones who have control over the content and rules of your role-play. Not us.
Always remember, you are not 'elite' in any way, shape or form.
If you think you are, kindly pull your head out of your ass.
APPLYING
Register before you audition, please.
Post your application in the audition forum. Do not post it in the unaccepted forum, nor the epsilon, palindrome or trinity forums. It gets a little irritating having to move so many auditions.
Please DO NOT POST anywhere else other than the audition forum and the support/pinboard forums before you are accepted.
We allow unfinished auditions to be posted (even if these are possibly the simplest auditions ever fashioned.) If your audition is not complete, please clearly state that it is unfinished. You then have a total of four days to complete your audition, or else it will be moved to the unaccepted forum.
If you are not accepted into the forum on your first try, please do not lash out at administration. We will always give you a good explanation and some critique when you are denied. You are always more than welcome to try again.

(Since people seem to be confused, yes, the "oh look, a:" field in the audition format is the above phrase, and yes, you do need to fill it in correctly to be accepted.)
If you have entered the above phrase correctly, an administrator will edit it out. So if the phrase magically disappears, don't worry, it's just so no one can cheat.
Although it's not exactly a rule, once you're accepted you should post an introduction, just so we know who the hell you are.
RESPECT AND DISCRIMINATION
Slash of both kinds is welcome here. If you can't dig that, then this probably isn't the site for you. We're not asking you to role-play it, but we're asking you to tolerate it, and respect those who do.
Harassment, racism, homophobia, etc. will not be tolerated out of character. Jokes are all great, but you should know where to draw the line.
Respect those who may not be as good at writing as you are. It's a skill that people develop. It's not something we're all born with.
ACTIVITY, ADVERTISING AND GRAPHICS
Avatars and signatures must not stretch out the board.
The maximum size for avatars is 100 x 100, and signatures 500 (w) x 300 (h). Please respect this rule. An admin will approach you if it is broken.
Activity. We understand people have lives, and lives come first. We arent going to breathe down your neck if you are inactive for a couple of days. However, if you are going to be away for an extended period of time, please tell us ahead of time on the absences board.
No "register and run", please. If you're not sure if you're going to be able to stay at the site, then perhaps you shouldn't register to begin with. It 's frustrating, rude and a hassle to have to go through all the dead accounts and delete them.
Please do not advertise in the chat box. This includes having a link to your forum in your name. All advertisements should be kept to the classifieds section of the site.
