PROPAGANDA INTRODUCES:

CHARACTER BOOTCAMP
This is an upcoming project designed to help those struggling with character development - or those who just want to expand their horizons - burst out of their bubble of limitations.

It's still much under discussion, hence why this is only a brainstorm.
Participants would be split off into pairs and challenges to create different characters according to writing prompts. You'd be able to sign up for different themes (unless you want us to, you won't be placed in one group randomly,) so you don't have to stray too far from your comfort zones. No one is going to make you develop a drug-addicted slut if that ain't your forte, even though the goal of this would be for you to expand your horizons and understand what makes a character a little more. You and your partner would then develop a plot together according to the prompt and your characters.

This is where you should post all ideas you have for the character bootcamp, including fancier names, challenges, themes, etc.
The only thing I ask is to be creative. (:

1) i dunno, i think character bootcamp seems like a pretty freaken awesome and unique name. .... ... ... that or propoganda's army military training camp. >_>;;;; i mean cause seriously there's only so much you can do. xD

2) ... yeah, i got nothin. except ... well i dunno.

Mmkay. Seems like the discussion of names is raging along fine. xD


IDEAS. Uhm. I like the idea of having the groups. Like, "Sign ups for females" then sub topics like "sluts," "ugly girls," "preps," "cheerleaders," etc. And also races. I have one Asian girl, who I love to pieces, but I need to learn how to play others, as the rest of my characters are white.

Ohoh! I vote for propoganda's army military training camp;; that would be freakin' awesome! And evil! And hard core =D. But then this site might seem even more like harry potter : [Dumbledore's Army] Haha ^.^;;


Yeah...so I like the idea that matt has =D.We should first like...let people pick their general areas ie; gender boy girl, age, sex // ||, and maybe fantasy or non fantasy. Because there is a difference between comfort zone and likes and dislikes. And then maybe you can have them fill out a quick little sheet of characters they usually play, and...go from there *.*

I dunno

OOH. Another idea. We should have two sections: one for existing characters, and one for new characters. In the "existing characters" section, you take one of your already-existing characters and put them through a series of troubles to see how the respond. In the "new characters" section, you are given a set of qualities or something and you have to make a character. The "new characters" section is all the stuff we've been talking about.

I'm going to elaborate on an idea Zan had once. ... well, actually, it was the basis of his entire site, but I loved the idea.

There can be a part of the bootcamp in which members are challenged to create characters from an object/animal/emotion/what have you. I had a lot of fun with it, and it truly does help to expand creativity.

Oh, wow that sounds really awesome =D.

o: YES I LOVED THAT IDEA. I actually meant to make some of those characters, and now have a girl I'm going to use for "Maneater." xD I still have my "White" and "Cowboy Boot" character. n.n That's a great idea.
