THE SUBPLOTS THE COMPLICATED VERSIONCassiopeia has always thought of herself as higher than others
Gregor can’t stand it + started to fight with her the moment that they met
After a bit Gregor finds out about how her parents died
Peter is Cassie’s cousin, his parents + her parents were killed by death eaters
+ now she’s living with her pureblooded grandfather, who is of royal descent
Gregor befriends her after a bit + they become very close
Cassie’s male cousins are very protective over her, even though one is a traitor
Peter forsakes the family + tries to join ranks with the rats + almost dies
He betrayed them all + hates Cassie for not helping him, even though they were EXTREMELY close
Now Cassie’s grieving over the ‘loss’ of Peter, but Gregor can’t seem to help her
He tries to cheer her up in any way possible – but he finds it’s useless
Nikolas, her other cousin, is very protective + thinks Gregor wants to see her
Nikolas prevents the two from seeing each other and eventually falls for Cassie + Gregor’s friend
Since both Gregor + Rowan are muggleborns Cassie expects for Gregor to like Rowan
Rowan doesn’t like Gregor like Cassie thinks, but instead likes Nikolas
But Rowan’s last boyfriend was Peter until he cut all ties so she feels guilty
Cassie’s a wreck over her parents, Gregor, Peter, + Rowan, but tries to conceal it
Really Nikolas likes Rowan, but he also feels guilty
After a while Gregor thinks Cassie doesn’t like him so he gives up
And then asks Rowan out THE LESS COMPLICATED VERSIONCassie likes Gregor + Gregor likes Cassie
Cassie’s ‘grieving’ over cousin
Peter = with rats + Rowan’s ex-boyfriend
Rowan + Cassie = friends

But both feel guilty

THE COMPLICATED VERSIONCarson + Monique + Dominic + Morton are all prominent members of the rats
They expect to be moved to higher positions that require them to be more involved
But suddenly some random Finnish girl takes the interest of the leader of the rats
Monique is furious, as she was the latest ‘adventure’ for the leader of the rats, Balthazar
Carson + Dominic + Morton all plan to get rid of the Finnish girl, Lucille
But while they’re planning they meet her and find her to be quite the looker
Once again Monique is furious, hoping that they would’ve carried out their plan
She goes into a fit and Balthazar finds himself disgusted with her
Lucille is acting all innocent, while Dominic + Carson + Morton are drooling over her
Balthazar has claimed her but Dominic, acting like an idiot, tries to move in
Immediately Lucille takes a ‘liking’ to him and his ‘courage’
She doesn’t tell Balthazar and fools around with him for a while
Morton + Carson are just rolling their eyes and waiting for Balthazar to kill him
Surprisingly, Balthazar doesn’t, and Lucille continues to mess with Dominic

Random Finnish girl moves in on Balthazar (leader)
Monique goes ballistic
The boys decide to take her out
But then they decide against it, finding her hot

At first Dean doesn’t care, because he takes the friend back to his place
But later when he sees Todd around with the girl he gets really angry
He finds out that her name is Colleen + ditches her friend
Gets into a fight with Todd over her, claiming that Todd is too clingy
Colleen actually likes Todd, but her friend – Morgan – thinks she likes Dean
Morgan gets all worked up about it and refuses to talk to Colleen
Now Dean’s mad at Todd + Todd’s confused
Morgan is ignoring Colleen + Colleen’s trying to get everything straight
Oh, and Todd gets a black eye and Dean gets a cut on his lip THE LESS COMPLICATED VERSIONDean + Todd = best friends that love to go clubbing
They both see a hot girl and a bunch of her friends
Todd gets the hot girl + Dean gets a friend
Dean doesn’t really care at first, but later sees Todd with the girl
Dean gets all mad and Todd’s confused about it
Colleen (the girl)’s friend clings to Dean until he ditches her
Todd + Dean get into a fight over Colleen
Colleen likes Todd + Todd likes Colleen
Morgan (the friend) likes Dean
Dean actually likes Morgan; he’s just never lost a girl before
Morgan ignores Colleen + Dean’s mad at Todd THE LEAST COMPLICATED VERSIONDean = player ; Todd = Dean’s best friend

They decide that they won’t have anything at all to do with the war other than care for patients
Both are faithful to this promise and start dating seriously for two or so years
Connor loves Gina and decides that he should propose to her
Gina is faithful to him and when Connor proposes is overjoyed
Soon a Spider comes into the picture and is entered into Connor’s care
Violet is spiteful and sometimes cruel to other patients and is given special care
Connor has to work extra hard to please her and starts to crush on her
Gina doesn’t realize anything and continues with her work
When Violet starts to realize his little crush, she starts to flirt with him
One day Gina came in to get Connor so they could get lunch
And she finds Violet flirting with Connor and running her finger down his arm
She gets mad and runs away, hurt that he’d do that to her
Violet simply laughs + requests a new doctor so that she can get more ‘peace’ THE LESS COMPLICATED VERSIONGina + Connor = in love
Connor proposes to Gina after 2 years of dating
Both work at St. Mungo’s + are Mice
Violet (a Spider) gets hurt during a Rat raid
Comes into Connor’s care + is mean at first
Connor gets a crush on her + she starts to flirt
Gina finds out one day and gets mad and runs away
Violet laughs + requests a new doctor

Jayda finds out and realises a way to get out of the marriage
Scropius however, wants to please his parents and when Jayda confronts him.
He blackmails her that he will tell the rents her little secret
she hates the idea of disappointing them, so agrees to keeping the secret
yet everyday she is more tempted to spill and start chasing William

One day, after not seeing each other for years
Scorpius finds himself attracted to rose
Scorpius has an arranged marriage to Jayda Yaxley
Who is crushing on William Hoffe

Scorpuis blackmails Jayda that he will tell about her secret love
Jayda is getting more and more impatient
