Kidou, known as the Demon Arts, is a well-known basic form of combat used by shinigami. It utilizes the shinigami’s reiatsu to that certain spells can be cast at the user’s discretion. Kidou falls into three catgories: Hadou Destructive Arts, Bakudou Binding Arts and Chiyudou Healing Arts. Each spell falls into one of the three categories, its strength being determined by its number, 1 being the weakest and 99 being the strongest. Each number, as well, falls into a certain rank regarding the Kidou Stat.

#1 - #15 = E Rank Kidou
#16 - #30 = D Rank Kidou
#31 - #45 = C Rank Kidou
#46 - #60 = B Rank Kidou
#61 - #75 = A Rank Kidou
#76 - #99 = S Rank Kidou

In order for one to equip a Kidou, they must have the following:

- An Open Slot pertaining to the Rank of the designated Kidou.
- The Kidou Stat Rank equal to or higher than the desired Kidou.
- Meet any additional requirements stated in the Kidou’s Description.

There are two ways to obtain Kidou Slots, one is raising the Kidou Stat and the other is buying Slots using your Bank EXP. I will explain the former first.

As a gift, every player receives one E Rank Kidou Slot. From then on, as your Kidou Stat advances in rank, you will receive more slots appropriately as per the following chart:

From E to D Rank you receive an E Rank Kidou Slot and a D Rank Kidou Slot.

From D to C Rank you receive an E Rank Kidou Slot, D Rank Kidou Slot and a C Rank Kidou Slot.

From C to B Rank you receive an E Rank Kidou Slot, D Rank Kidou Slot, C Rank Kidou Slot and a B Rank Kidou Slot.

From B to A Rank you receive an E Rank Kidou Slot, D Rank Kidou Slot, C Rank Kidou Slot, B Rank Kidou Slot and an A Rank Kidou Slot.

From A to S Rank you receive an E Rank Kidou Slot, D Rank Kidou Slot, C Rank Kidou Slot, B Rank Kidou Slot, A Rank Kidou Slot and an S Rank Kidou Slot.

Through this method, you can have a maximum of:

7 E Rank Kidou Slots.

5 D Rank Kidou Slots.

3 C Rank Kidou Slots.

2 B Rank Kidou Slots.

1 A Rank Kidou Slot.

1 S Rank Kidou Slot.

Once you reach this cap, as you advance in Rank you will no longer receive Kidou Slots inherently. Should you wish for more you must purchase them via your EXP. The cost is as follows:

E Rank Kidou Slot – 25 EXP

D Rank Kidou Slot – 40 EXP

C Rank Kidou Slot – 55 EXP

B Rank Kidou Slot – 70 EXP

A Rank Kidou Slot – 85 EXP

S Rank Kidou Slot – 100 EXP

In order for you to purchase a Kidou Slot, you Kidou Stat must be equal to or higher than the Slot you wish to purchase.

You may switch and re-equip Kidou as you wish, however it must be updated appropriately in your profile in order for you to use it. If it is not, you are not allowed to use that Kidou. Here is an example of how equipped Kidou is shown on your character’s stat sheet:

Bob Bob – Gotei 13, Unseated.

Your character sheet must look like this with the Kidou clearly under the Kidou Stat in italics. Showing Empty Kidou Slots below equipped Kidou is encouraged, however is not required. However, you must state in your profile how many total Kidou Slots you have.
