Grace Alara (NA/Cban/NA) – 0.8m long in length, with a gilded lion's head whose mane acts as the hilt of the sword. A greyish-translucent pommel caps the end of a two-handed grip. Has the swords 'Grace Alara' inscribed on both sides of the blade in flowing English script.

=> Shikai “Defy” - The pommel at the end of the sword extends to form one solitary wing that resembles a feather in structure. The lion's head glows with a low aura giving the guard and the blade a muted color, and the words inscribed on either side now flash golden. Aside from the wing, there is little else that changes about the form.

Grace Alara holds one ability in this form; [ Defiance ]. The reiatsu emitted from the sword make the blade itself immune to outside reiatsu, including any spells or abilities a wielder might wish to place onto the sword as an enhancement. However, this immunity allows Grace Alara to do peculiar things other zanpakutou are simply not allowed to do. It can splice all kidou spells by cutting projectiles in half; it can 'break' illusions conjured by reiatsu if coming into contact with the area that is under that ability's influence; it is immune to barrier and defensive measures that use reiatsu and can simply slice through; it cannot be immobilized, stopped, or otherwise affected by anything utilizing reiatsu at all. While this ability is somewhat useless in the real world, where things without spiritual density can still affect the sword quite often, it is murder in any of the spiritual realms, which make Grace Alara essentially invincible (though not it's wielder).

Grace Alara holds one attack in this form; [ Ether Shatter ]. By charging the aura reiatsu around the sword, Grace Alara expands it in a violent 'aura blade' that pulses around the user in a single, large circle. This blade not only deals damage but also disrupts reiatsu outside the user's, effectively preventing reiatsu usage by all those hit by the attack. The range is a fairly moderate 10m in radius, and the damage is relatively mild but [ Ether Shatter ] also carries the capability of negating all abilities that use reiatsu, both passive and active, for a few moments. [ Ether Shatter ] cannot be used successively without charging, requiring roughly a 10-30s downtime between blasts.

For some odd reason I just love the name. Anyway, this kai is certainly interesting. As we talked about, your kai is pretty much approved under the condition that you will state the following:

[ Defiance ] does not necessarily cancel out kidou, meaning the kidou, depending on its strength, will still do the intended damage to the user if the user is hit by the kidou, however, Grace Alara will remain unharmed.

[ Either Shatter ] is instantaneous, however its effect only lasts for less than a turn.

Clarify this and it is APPROVED
