Dorothy thought she was helping people by showing them the way to Oz when World War III was on the verge of destroying the world, but the land she came back to was much darker than the one she remembered. Now the refugees from our world are stuck in a hostile city, and while Dorothy fights with the Resistance for the lives of her people, there are many who would see them wiped out.

THE PALACE
Oz, Ozma, and their court live here in the palace, which is located smack dab in the middle of Emerald City. The only way to get in is to go through the Gatekeeper, and he does not let just anybody through. The King and Queen don't like to deal with many people these days.

KANSAS PARK
After Dorothy killed the Wicked Witch of the East, Ozma had a park developed in Downtown Emerald City and named it after the place in the Other World that the young heroine called home. Needless to say, sentiments about Dorothy have changed since then (especially because the Wicked Witch of the East has been resurrected), but the park remains. It is quite pretty during the day, but it is not a safe place at night.

OZDUST
This is the best place to go in town if you are looking for some fun. It is an amazing nightclub, big enough to take up a whole city block. Inside there is a bar, a huge dance floor, and dark tables all around for those intimate conversations. There are also back rooms where it is rumored that Bedlam's girls will take "visitors", if you know what I mean.

MOTHER'S HALFWAY HOUSE
This secret house is tucked in an alley right on the border of the bad and good sides of town. It is a halfway house run by Mother for refugees who need a safe place to stay for a while. The house is protected by a charm cast by Merlin that conceals it from the view of anyone but those who have been told its location.

THE SLUMS
These are the dark places of the city. This is the area where the Royal Army has no power and the criminals are gaining a foothold. Here, Elphaba is the ruler, and what she says goes. It is foolish to venture into this part of town after dark. You may never return.

RESISTANCE HEADQUARTERS
Hidden in an old boarding school building on the outskirts of town is the headquarters for the Resistance, run by Dorothy herself. The building is heavily guarded by spells and soldiers at all times, so any outsider who wants to get in would certainly have a hard time doing so.

SHOPPING MALL
The mall is never as crowded as it used to be, before all this tension came to Oz, but no matter how bleak things are people still need to buy things. Some use it as a form of stress relief. Just make sure you don't carry too much money with you, because even in the suburbs people get robbed.

POPPY FIELD
Yes, this is the infamous field of poppies that surrounds the Emerald City. They are no longer enchanted poppies, so you won't fall asleep if you walk through them, but people do report feeling more peaceful here. On clear days families come out here for picnics or to go swimming in the little lake that is out here.

THE FOREST
People don't come out here much anymore. The trees have gotten more and more grumpy as time goes on and they are known to pelt apples at you just for passing through. Also, some of Elphaba's flying monkeys still fly around causing mischief.

THE DESERT
Almost all of the outer parts of Oz have turned to desert due to nuclear fallout from OWWIII. Refugees continue to trickle in day by day, crossing the desert and almost dying in the process as they struggle to get to the city. Both the wicked witches' gang and Resistance alike patrol this wasteland, looking for refugees either to save or to imprison.

THE TRANSPORT SHIP
This huge craft that seems like a cross between an airplane and a spaceship is home to Sir and his crew. They fly around the Outlands taking people and goods to and from different places in Oz. Currently, they are secretly sided with the Resistance, but they do carry around criminals too and do errands for them to keep from getting enslaved or killed.
