[ IT'S DARK TIMES A BREWIN' ]

The year is 1975, and Voldemort's reign of terror is gaining momentum as the Marauders enter their fifth year at Hogwarts. Whispers of unexplained disappearances are everywhere, and both parents and students alike are being forced to make life-altering choices between sides. With friends and family in unknown dangers, how can the students at Hogwarts hope to focus on tests and papers?

[ SO WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT ]

Hogwarts is filled with bustling and activity as the school year unfolds once more. New first years join the ranks of the returning students, wary and curious of the mysteries hidden within the walls of the castles. For the older students, classes are continuing to get increasingly difficult, and the looming reality that school is merely a pathway to the real world is a small terror hanging over everyone's head. What's more, social matters have somehow managed to become even more pressing. Relationships are being formed and broken every day, and now there's the added burden of keeping your eyes out for those on the wrong side.

[ BEYOND THE SMOKE AND MIRRORS ]

Outside of school, there is a palpable sensation that the tables are turning. News reported by the Daily Prophet is becoming increasingly more unspecific as things grow grimmer. Witches and wizards are going missing without any traces of where they've disappeared to. Ministry officials seemed to have their lips sewn shut, and there is no doubt that things are happening behind the scenes. Voldemort is undoubtedly on the move, whether the general public is aware of it or not, and he and his troops are beginning to pose quite the threat.

[ WHICH SIDE WILL YOU FIGHT FOR? ]

Mischief Managed? is a Marauder's Era roleplay site. What that means, is that the setting is within the wizarding world of Harry Potter, but previous to Harry's life. Instead, we take a look into the life of his parents, James Potter and Lily Evans, and all those within their generation. The writing level is intermediate to advanced, though we are willing to work with others. So, which side will you fight for? You decide at Mischief Managed.
