The morning had been... Eventful for O'Malley to say the least. Oh, sure, it had started out like any other morning- she'd woken up, fallen out of bed, cursed the bruise from broom-flying-practicing on her forearm; it was the only bruise that hadn't gone away, and continued to the Ravenclaw common room. That's when O'Malley had realized she'd forgotten to change, and had had to trot back up to her dormitory to change into a pair of denim jeans, a black beater, and a blue scarf that was wrapped around her waist. Upon descending the second time, O'Malley had realized she'd forgotten her ever accompanying bag- and Confetti II- so she returned to the dormitory to pick up her khaki bag and then lifted Confetti II into it, along with ink jars, a notebook, and other odds and ends, and returned to the common room with her wand firmly in her hand. When she was at the foot of the stairs, O'Malley made sure that she wasn't forgetting anything, and, when she checked out, O'Malley was sure she had what she needed for a full, free day.

By the time she'd begun her descent down the steps toward the Great Hall, Confetti II had climbed onto her shoulder and was eyeing the shiny possessions of other students quite enviously, though, Confetti II was yet to leave her perch. The black ferret normally stayed with O'Malley at least half the day before something intrigued her into going her seperate ways. Anyway, the ferret was probably starving. After a run-in with Nearly Headless Nick, literally, O'Malley had stopped and taken a few breaths. The ghost had been in a rush and had been much too busy to notice the sixth year Ravenclaw he'd gone right through. Someone had shouted at her, but O'Malley could not figure out who and had continued down the steps towards the Great Hall; the shouting had ensued, and she knew, immediately, that it wasn't a necessarily friendly person as friendly people did not call other people mudbloods. However, she hadn't been confronted by anyone and had made it safely to the Great Hall.

There, O'Malley had a basically normal breakfast of a blueberry muffin. Confetti II, however, had tried to steal a spoon, and O'Malley had had to catch the critter who'd attempted to run all the way to the Gryffindor table. Of course, that caused quite a fuss, but she'd caught him. The Ravenclaws and most of her enemies congratulated her- mockingly, of course- and O'Malley had simply scowled and scolded the poor ferret who could not help its attraction to all things shiny. It didn't matter, though, since O'Malley had apologized to the poor dear right after, anyway. The rest of the morning had been taken up by simply wandering, occasionally, she'd been joined by her friends, but they'd drifted away after a bit to tend to their own needs.

So, now, O'Malley was resting lazily in the courtyard with Confetti II resting in her lap. Her bag's contents were being spilled and gathered with the flick of her wand simply for entertainment, and she was feeling rather depressed that this particular day was even less productive than the last. And, perhaps, just a tinge lonely.

Savannah was tired. This was one of the first times that she was actually tired, she was so good at sleeping and was always cheery. But today was not her day. She couldn't find her shoes, nor her favorite strawberry flavored lip gloss and she had woken up too early. And yet, it was still in the morning and she had a whole day in front of her. Savannah groaned as she walked up the stairs towards the Great Hall. Her shoelaces must have been untied though and she tripped, falling face first onto the cold marble floor of the Entrance Hall. "Ugh." she said, as she picked herself up off the floor as some students standing around laughed at her. "This is not my day." Now her robes were wrinkled, and she was not happy.

Savannah slowly made her way into the Great Hall, a frown on her face. She slid onto the bench next to her best friend and reached for some juice, and a muffin. Chocolate Chip, her favorite. "At least something goes right." She bit into it and smiled, chewing it softly and savoring the chocolate, the taste, the goodness. She sipped her jucie, not even really paying attention as the headmaster gave his usual good morning speech.

Mumbling good bye to her friends, she strode outside, for a little time in the common room before classes. It would be a boring, bad day for Savannah, and she was not looking foward to it.

She approached the courtyard cautiously and saw a bag's contents spread out around the ground. She rushed over and bent down to pick them up, not noticing the girl that was sitting there and just then, the items went back intothe bag,

"Umm. Hello. I'm Savannah." she said smiling, sticking out her hand. If she had a bad start, at least she could make it better.
