There was one word to describe how Juliana Creevey was feeling at this point: bored. Bored, bored, bored, bored, and especially bored. Shouldn’t a castle filled with lots of wizards and wizards where they was almost always magic being performed be more interesting? It should be but it wasn’t. No, today it was dull and completely uninteresting. So she’d decided to go to the one place at Hogwarts that should have always been interesting. The forbidden forest. And of course Juli being Juli had brought her camera along. She was still hoping for a picture of the centaurs that supposedly lived out here or the unicorns or something else along those lines. Something like that. Something that could prove there was still a little magic left in her life because frankly it seemed like even ancient Hogwarts was losing its magic. But that couldn’t be true because places like Hogwarts never lost their magic. Six years into her schooling career here she was still constantly running into new people and places. So it was still magical. Maybe she was just growing a little accustomed to all the magic around her. She could have been like her grandfather after all and subjected to a boring muggle life. Sighing she focused the camera on the treetops but saw nothing. So still looking through it she began to wildly swivel the camera around looking for something. But unfortunately she didn’t find anything. With another sigh she slid her back down the nearest tree trunk slumping to the ground. Placing the camera in the lap she looked around with disappointed blue eyes. It was too bad nothing was about to leap through the bushes or anything. Then she heard the rustling. Perhaps it was one of those “be careful what you wish for” kinda things because something, whatever it was was coming. It didn’t sound like some giant magical creature though. Actually it sounded a lot like human footsteps. Hmm, who could it be? Frowning to herself Juli clambered to her feet camera in her hand once more. Standing on the tips of her toes she craned around for a glance at whoever it was. But unfortunately with the trees and plants everywhere she couldn’t spot anyone. “Who’s out there?” She called waiting for a response under the cover of the tree her free hand instinctively gripping her wand, just in case. You could never be too prepared. |
