Bienvenue à paris! While a part of this roleplaying community, the admins ask that you follow the rules & guidelines established here to retain order and civility. Please take time to read through these carefully. Note that any infractions will not be tolerated and proper action will be taken against violators.

respect
    First things first: respect is a necessity on this forum. Any form of disrespect or discrimination will not be tolerated, and you will be punished accordingly.

    Do not argue with the admins. They were chosen for a reason. Their word is final, whether you agree with it or not..
applying
    Members may post unfinished applications but they must be completed after ONE WEEK. After that time any unfinished applications will be deleted without notice.

    Display names should be first & last name only, all lowercase.

    Please refrain from PMing admins about your pending application! We promise you that your application is a top priority of ours, but we're only human. It will be looked over as soon as possible.

    Do not spam the c-box about the length of time it is taking to have your application processed, that will only make matters worse
characters
    See the face claim for claiming rules.

    You are allowed as many characters as you can handle, but be sure to stay active. Also, make sure there is only one character per account.

    We do expect you to use originality here both in your character names and their histories. Characters cannot have the same name as their PB's or roles they may have played in the past.

    Please, for everyone's sake, do not make your character perfect! Almost no one in this world is super smart, super pretty, a super drug addict, with a super dark past. Think of people you've met in real life -those are real people you would encounter here in Paris, and the type of character you should be aiming to create.
posting
    Please note that is is an intermediate-advanced roleplaying forum, meaning that your posts should be up to par. We require a minimum of 350 words per post (OOC not included, obviously).

    This roleplay is rated PG-13. We do not have restrictions on language, although obsessive vulgarity is discouraged. Drugs, violence, and alcohol are all allowed as well, but, again, if it's unrealistic you'll be warned. There aren't too many restrictions regarding sex, but please, keep it to a minimum and put some sort of warning in the title of your post.

    Power playing is strictly prohibited. Unless you have the opposite character's permission, refrain from acting as an all-controlling deity in your roleplay posts.

    One of the most important aspects of roleplaying here is to remain realistic. This is a real-life roleplay, there aren't magical powers or vampires roaming about. The pass word is "quelle importance".

    Within a week of your character being accepted we expect you to have written and posted one in character post. This does not include plot pages, IMs, etc. This can be a post for a thread with another existing character, an open thread for anyone to reply to, or a response to another open thread. We're glad you're here and want you to get involved with plotting ASAP.
images
    As far as avatars and signatures go, just keep them at a reasonable size. There is no maximum size for signatures, but be sure not to stretch the page. We do not allow animated .gifs. Make sure they're pictures of your character, too.

    NO hotlinking of images from other sites. Images that are will be deleted without warning.
activity
    If you join this roleplay, we ask for your commitment to being active. If you plan on abandoning the site in a week, we won't like it. We have activity checks, and we will delete your account if you're not active.

    Refrain from nagging your roleplay partners. If the person you're roleplaying with hasn't replied to your post, be understanding and give them time. You can send a friendly little reminder through PM if you haven't heard from them in at least a week, but please, no more than that.

    New accounts will be deleted after one week so we can keep better tabs on who is active or not.
absences
    If you are going to be away for any length of time, please modify your characters name to include (away). If at all possible, include the return date. This will allow your characters to be exempt from ONE activity check. Failure to do this means that the staff cannot guarantee an accidental deletion.
plagiarism
    Plagiarism in any form will result in the deletion of your account and a permanent ban on your IP address. No warning will be given.
