Green dragons The smallest of the Pernese dragons (Between 35 and 45 feet in length), greens are also the most numerous. Roughly one third of all dragons are green. Green dragons are female, but infertile, due to chewing firestone. They tend to rise to mate frequently, due to being infertile- Between five and eight times per year. Female candidates may hope to Impress either a Green or Gold dragon, though greens have also been known to Impress to young men with feminine personalities.
Blue dragons Although the smallest of the males (45 to 55 feet), usually only a little bigger than the greens, blues are fast and agile. Their stamina is not the best, but their quick reflexes and slender bodies make it easier for them to fly, and also makes them valuable assets during Threadfall. Blue dragons are only capable of flying greens. Blue dragons Impress to only males.
Brown dragons Larger and stronger than the blue dragons (55 to 65 feet), Browns are the middle-ground of the male dragons. Browns are often known to be laid back and easygoing, though can show force when absolutely necessary. Brown dragons are capable of flying greens and also the golden queens, but only in rare circumstances. Brown dragons Impress to only males.
Bronze dragons The biggest and most powerful of the males (65 to 75 feet), bronze dragons are the dream of almost every Pernese boy. With a metallic gleam and commanding personality, their leadership is undeniable. Bronzes often participate in greenflights, but usually are beaten out by the smaller and more agile blues and browns. But then, every bronze's target is the golden queen, whom they almost always win. Bronze dragons Impress to only males.
Gold dragons Rare and precious, Gold dragons are the largest of the breed (75 to 85 feet), and sustain the species. The only egg-laying female, gold dragons are referred to as Queens. Queen dragons cannot breathe flame, and common belief is that they should never be exposed to firestone. Gold dragons rise to mate 1-3 times per year, and lay clutches of between 10 and 16 eggs. If the male that caught the queen in her flight was Bronze, there is a chance that she will lay an egg with a golden shell... The egg of a gold dragon. If the male that caught her was brown, there is never a gold egg, and very rarely will there be bronzes. Gold dragons Impress only to females.
A word on Sports There will be no sport colors in Kazyeh Weyr. DO NOT ASK FOR THEM. Asking for a Sport dragon when it has been clearly stated that there will not be any constitutes harassment of the moderators and the players responsible for writing hatchings.
A note on sizes, and grandfathered riders Yes, we use the 'feet' measurements for dragons. This is non-negotiable. Do not argue the size of the dragons. I am aware of what the DLG says, and I am also aware that AMC herself said that it was a mistake, and the dragons' measurements are in feet.
While playing in Kazyeh, you may encounter several female characters who ride blue or brown dragons. We no longer allow these as submittable characters without special permission, which is decided by vote of the players. They cannot be impressed through any future hatchings, so please do not ask.
