How are my buddies doing? Hope everyone has been good. Sorry Ive been gone so long. I had a puter problem. Then left the country. Had a bunch of adventures. Eventually I just plain forgot how to get here again. By pure chance I saw the board and I remembered! Heck the memory was so intense, I immediately knew my old password.
Ive missed you guys! -------------------- ZARZARD-ZARZARD-SKRONO. YONO-SUKU. In the darkness of Hell, the fire of Hell, be my sword and destroy my enemy. VENOM!-Dark Schneider

Welcome back, Thuorn! It's always awesome to see old friends returning.
...I just looked to my right, sitting in a library, and saw a book on display 3 feet away called "The Thorn Birds," with the word thorn in large caps. Huh. What kind of adventures have you been having? -------------------- |

Hey dude. Nice to see you again.

Thanks for the receptions guys!
I did not have the opportunity to go into the digital realm, but it was close enough. LOL Im not sure how into my adventures I want to get here. But I will give a few highlights. 1) I went to Amsterdam and SMOKED ALOT!(this was the closest i came to entering another reality) I was basically lost there for a year or so. Just smoking and spending too much time in the red light district. That part of me is a bit of a haze. But suffice it to say, I somehow got the genius idea I should be a pimp. 2) I became a pimp. In south florida escorts are legal in broward. Its easy to start a website. And if you have some amount of savy you can find many chicks to work for you. This was super cool for a little while. Unfortunately there is way too much violence and hard drugs associated with the industry, for obvious reasons. So i soon became disgusted. 3) I decided to become a gold buyer. I now know hot to tell real gold from fake and can tell you how pure it is. I did this for some time. But became concerned with the likelihood of getting robbed at gun point. Its easy to find out who buys gold and then learn their route. And walking around with 50-100 thousand dollars between cash and gold, while in the more "interesting" parts of Miami is kinda daunting. 4) I learned and became good at playing FPS after 30 mind you. 5) I managed and ran several different restaurant or fast food joints for a little while. 6) I learned that I could sing, and I now use that on some woman that catch my fancy. 7) Ive spent a couple nights in jail. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but I dont recomend it. LOL 8) I was an activist for a while. 9) I pretended to be a priest for a while and I was taken seriously. (which shocked me to no end) 10) Ive become a HUGE fan of MMA and have given up interest in all other sports. 11) I went from smoking 1 pack and a half a pack of cigarettes a day from before I ever joined this site. To now only smoking at parties or get togethers. Which usually happen less than once a month. I know there is more crap, but thats a good place to start. Seriously, man, EPIC life story so far. I've considered becoming a priest of my own religion before. And I still do pretty much every day, I just don't have the conviction to go through with it.
But seriously, you've done more with 30 years than I feel most people ever have the balls to do. Good on you. -------------------- ![]() ![]() [terminalbeta 557 height:120 /t] |

Its not impressive if you remember it was over 6 years. Now if it had all happened in 6 months...
But you need to understand, it sounds alot better than it was because I am leaving out some of the crappier parts that happened around these specific events. Its like history. You only hear a fraction of reality. Depending on the winner there is alot left out. And its always shown in a better light than what actually happened. Although I do understand that seeing it in this way would sound a little impressive. The events arent as impressive in my memory, probably because I experienced them first hand, instead of hearing them told. Heck, my "best" adventures I would never tell my children if I ever had any. Its funny. How cool can my adventures be, if I wouldnt tell my own child. Which brings up a big regret I have. I have never had a child. And my wacky behaviour has made settling down impossible. It feels as if there is a giant clock I can hear, and its slowing down. To be honest I am not sure I will ever procreate. Im not sure if I even could, since I have never tried. The thought I admit disturbs me greatly. Then again, as a human, I know that I want things I dont have.... I cant say my life hasnt been interesting at times. But I assure you, I have been down right terrified many times in my life. Ive been held up at gun point. Ive seen people raped(prison). Ive had a couple people die in my arms.(my grand father and someone I never even knew) I have had a man jump in front on my car to commit suicide. I have brought someone back to life with cpr. Ive been hit by a car. Life is INSANE my friends. In all my adventures. After all the books ive read. After everything I have seen. I have learned 2 major things. I call them my rules. I have tried finding other rules, but I am either not bright enough, or I havent seen enough. Rule 1: Enjoy Yourself Rule 2: Humans Are Stupid The first rule seems simple, but its not. We are constantly distracted by a plethora of things which make truly enjoying your life difficult. Your life is LIMITED. You see it around you. You should have no delusions about your mortality. You should also have no delusions about the suffering on this Earth. ALWAYS Enjoy Yourself. If you dont, what is the point of your existence? Servitude? Pain? Devotion? Suffering? Doubt? Confusion? You must live for yourself FIRST and FOREMOST, if not why bother existing. Might as well step aside and make space for someone else to live. If you cant enjoy yourself. You can never truly do anything for others either. Why do for others truthfully when your life means nothing? You wont be here forever, and while you are you are stuck here with the rest of us, so you might as well... Enjoy Yourself The second rule should be obvious, but people choose all to often to ignore. As gifted and full of potential as we are, humans are dumb as rocks. Humans will believe something to be true because they WANT it to be true or are AFRAID it might be true. Be cause of this humans make horrific mistakes in reasoning all the while believing(or fooling themselves) that they are correct. Even knowing the truth doesnt make it much easier to avoid the trap of our own ill conceived notions. Since we also attach emotions to our beliefs we become stubborn about our own delusions. Its magnanimously difficult to accept that we have made errors when we feel deep down in our core we are correct. Hence... Humans are stupid Wow, thats more than I though I would get into in this thread. But o-well, all my learning/adventuring/living has made me a rogue philosopher of sorts. Or perhaps I am actually gaining wisdom... Hmmm. I will have to ponder that. Anywho. Im glad to be back guys. What shall we discuss next? TL;DR synopsis: Life is crazy. Have fun. Careful, people are dumb. (hehehe, it kinda rhymes) -------------------- ZARZARD-ZARZARD-SKRONO. YONO-SUKU. In the darkness of Hell, the fire of Hell, be my sword and destroy my enemy. Good with the bad, it sounds like your life's been an adventure nonetheless. You've clearly gained wisdom from it and I definitely agree 100% with both of your rules.
Now, let's discuss bacon. What's everyone's opinion on it? -------------------- ![]() ![]() [terminalbeta 557 height:120 /t] |
