Personality:
Stella has always been a very laid-back and carefree charcter. She loves spending her time outdoors, running or just relaxing as it tends to give her peace of mind. That was up until her brother was killed and her parents started to resent her; she began to grow a hardened outer layer to protect herself. Now she is a very cautious and untrusting person, she is constantly guarded when she meets new people, never knowing if they will judge her or hate her for who she is. Her love of nature never swayed through all her troubles, if anything, it intensified and almost every moment she spent was outside.

History:
Stella grew up in Atlanta, Georgia with her parents, Reed and Alex and her older brother, Jake. She had a very happy childhood, but her parents were always wary of her ever since she was a toddler who, instead of sticking something into a power plug and eletrocuting herself, drew the electricity out of the plug hole and played with it in her hands.

Jake had been the closest person in her life and her best friend. He always stood up for her against their parents and never once thought she was a freak. And the more her powers intesified, the more her parents hated her and she and Jake grew closer still. When Stella was sixteen, Jake was driving home after work one night and was hit by a drunk driver. He was killed instantly.

After that, her parents began to resent her even more than they had previously, since Jake was no longer there to protect her. They started blaming everything that went wrong on her, that if she wasn't such a freak, their lives wouldn't be this hard, and it would've been so much easier if it were her who had died, and not their precious son. Constant threats to turn her over to the government if she didn't do what they wanted, hung miserably over her head, everytime she wanted to rebel.

At the age of seventeen, after she had graduated from high school, she recieved an acceptance letter from NYU. So she packed her bags and left without as much as a goodbye. She hitch hiked her way, all the way to New York City, sleeping in every imaginable place between rides, before she finally made it. She began her studies at NYU majoring in Psychology, and is living in a small studio apartment in Manhattan.

By now, Stella mostly had her powers under control, but when she got angry, they still felt very raw and out of control, so when she heard there was a small organisation, somewhere in Manhattan that helped mutants and kept them safe, she knew she had to find them. Who knew if her parents had in fact turned her in and the government could be looking for her right now.

Power: Stella has the power of Electric Manipulation. She can create and control lightning and electricity with her hands and can draw from nearby electrical currents to increase to the power that she already holds.

She can control the amount of voltage that goes into her power, she could give someone the tiniest electric shock, or enough power to stop a persons heart. Not that she had ever tried it, be she knew that she could if she tried.

Place of Birth: Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Place of Residence: Manhattan, NY, USA
Nationality: American
Relatives:
Mother - Reed Ambrose
Father - Alex Ambrose
Brother - Jake Ambrose (Deceased)

QUOTE
It sat on the desk in front of her. Mocking her, taunting her. That thick white envelope, NYU emblem in the top right corner. That simple thing, held her future, telling her whether or not she would be moving to New York, whether or not she would be escaping her parents constant stream of threats and anger and fear of their child.

A letter opener lay lithely in the palm of Stella’s hand, as she built up the courage to take the step in uncovering her future. Her grip tightened around the slick, pearl coated handle in determination. The letter that was once a source of her fear was now grasped in her free hand, bringing the blade under the flap. Rip. The blade passed through the crisp paper in one swift stroke. Inside laid a thick booklet and a single sheet of paper. Tearing at the envelope, she pulled the letter out, dark eyes skimming across the words it contained, an incredible grin stretching itself across the girls smooth face, eyes flashing with excitement.

Dear Miss Ambrose,

We are please to inform you that you have been accepted into New York University...

A squeal erupted from the girl’s mouth, the sides of the letters crunching together as her grasp tightened around it, pulling it against her chest. This was it. She was free. She could finally escape the prison she had been kept in for the past two years. A surge of energy surged through her as she bolted up the stairs to her room. She tried to calm herself down enough that the sparks that were emerging from the tips of her fingers could dissipate, allowing her to pack her bags without setting anything alight.

Back downstairs with her duffle loaded up and her secret stash of all the money she had saved over the years, securely tucked into her boot, she glanced around the room, dark eyes flitting from one object to the next, realising that this place had not felt like home in a long time. Her eyes stopped in the photo of her brother on the mantel piece. The frame felt heavy in her hands as she opened the back and withdrew the photo, her thumbs running gently over his face. A stray tear made its escape and she swiped at it quickly, sliding the photo into her back pocket. With one last look she slammed the door behind her, leaving nothing for her parents. She owed them nothing.
