Final Fantasy IX, And why I hate it so much ¬¬

Hey, thought I'd start of a little discussion.

I couldn't really think of any thing else that grinds my gears at the moment. So I thought I'd post with this. Since I do indeed hate FF9 ¬¬


First off... it sucks >.>

Ok, I'll explain a little more then that.

First of all, I didn't really like the characters much. They seemed a little superfisial, and I just didn't feel any thing when was in trouble. Nor did I really mind much if I had to sacrafice one, to save the rest in the battle mode (usally I would feel a little remoirce or regreat =P).

Not only that, the card game seemed like it was trying to sponge of the sucsess of FFVIII's card game. Seemed a little basic, and just annoyed me >.>

Also... the main vilain dude was wearing a red sparkalay thong, as well as a red leather dress thing. Seemed like he was just a camp sethy ¬¬ But not only that, the only reason he was out to destroy every thing was... he was annoyed o_0

Another thing, after seeing all the destruction that flying ship could do, powered by the channaled souls of the dead, you couldn't even use the cannon. Yeah I know, its a bit silly being able to use it <over kill!!> but even just useing it once, in part of the story. Or maybe even having it like a summon or something >.>

I'm sure there's other things, but I need to be geting on with some work, so my last and final point, which I think is the most important, the last boss was never at all menctioned in the game, before you fight him at the end. I mean What-The-Fudge!!!???? (reframes from swearing >.>). He just apears and says hes death, and since one person wanted to destroy the crystal, and failed, he'll more or less do it him self coz one mans actions are enough to judge all life in the universe? Plus, all the statuise magic he does. It can be a little tricky, but its all more annoyed then deficult.


... ok, it was fun to play till the eng boss I guess... but its one of the weakest out the whole serise of Final Fantasy's, and I don't really want to play it again. I think, really, the only good thing to come out that game was Vivi. Loved that little guy... even if he did annoy my a little at times as well ¬¬

Though, I don't blame the creators of Final Fantasy for this game, because aprently (though I don't actually know) they were fourced by who ever (big people who want lots of money for the game) to make it easy to understand, simplisic, and they loved the idea of the end boss, coz who couldn't understand "Death" ¬¬ (ME!!!! WHY!!!! WHY WAS HE EVEN IN THE GAME!!!! I wouldn't have minded if it ended with that red thong guy!).

Any way, tis my opinion ^^;;

I love the FF series, the only thing that pisses me off incredibly is the amount and length of the video cutscenes.

I want to play a game for gods sake, not watch loads of rendered sequences and occasionnally click a button until the next movie.

More gameplay and less movies, if I want to buy a movie I will!

I buy a game to actually play and enjoy, stop the long friggin cutscenes pls.
