Sir Bedevere Sewell
Characters age:
26
Basic details about character:
Bedevere is four years older then his sibling Kadeligh, and although an adult, he will sometimes still tease her for being the youngest. He is very close to Kadeligh and often worries about her and her practice of magic. But he keeps her secret safe, and would not dare reveal it. He, like his sister, wants people to stay safe, and he would hate it if his sister was put to the death.
Being older, he has more memories of his mother, and remembers her using magic, he does not share the views that his fellow knights do about magic, and finds it fascinating. However, he'd never practice it himself, in his eyes, magic was the death of his mother. A disease was what killed her, but the fact that she'd been unable to use magic in his opinion killed her on the inside.
Bedevere is a very headstrong man, he is always determined and is brave like the knights he fights with. Sometimes he can be arrogance and this can blind his judgement, but he does his best to follow the orders of his leading officer. He still has a lot to learn, and although he's been a knight for a long time, he is not the most skilled knight. But he does his best to do what he can, and would happily die in order to save another's life. He can be selfish at times, especially when he isn't on good terms with someone, and if that is the case he can be less willing to fight for them, but he constantly tries to remind himself that his mother would not approve. He is very loyal to his friends and wishes to someday settle down and marry the woman that he has loved for two years.
Like his sister, he has blonde hair. But he has inherited his father's brown eyes. He is roughly 6 ft 2" and is of average build. He has a slightly weak shoulder after a fight with some enimies from another kingdom, but he tries not to let it stop him from serving the king. On his weak shoulder there is a scar when the sword made contact. Because of the fights he's been in, he has a wonky nose which is the result of it being broken after getting in a fight with a fellow knight.
Bedevere holds some bitterness towards his father. He is less willing to forgive his father for assisting in the massacre of people like his mother and sister. Although his father insisits that he would never betray Kadeligh, Bedevere isn't willing to trust his father. He believes that if he had to, his father would reveal Kadeligh's secret, and because of this he is very untrusting of his father, and if need be, he would silence him in order to protect his sister
