C H I C K S



MORGANA LE FEY
twenty three, nobility, katie mcgrath
when morgana's father died, she was taken in by
the very man who sent him into battle to die. she
grew up disliking uther for his hatred against magic
because - unbeknownst to the doting king - she is a
seer. she is constantly arguing with arthur and the fact
he does everything his father tells him. she is good friends
with her maidservant gwen, arthur and, upon his arrival,
found a confidant in arthur's manservant, merlin.


GWEN
twenty, maidservant, angel coulby
gwen has been morgana's maidservant since the latter
first arrived in king uther's court. her father had been the
kingdom blacksmith until he was arrested and killed for aiding
a dangerous sorceror. she is kind and gentle but she'll fight for
what she believes in and will do anything for her friends.


NIMUEH
unknown, sorceress, michelle ryan
nimueh once advised king uther in the ways of the old religion.
when granting her barren queen a child, arthur, but having to have
igraine die to let the young one live; uther banished her from camelot
and thus started his hatred for magic. since then, nimueh has tried to
destroy both uther and arthur, the latest of plans being foiled by the young
merlin. she has the power over life and death and is more than willing to share
that power with merlin provided he joins her.


HUNITH
thirty one, peasant, caroline faber
hunith is the doting mother of arthur's manservant. she lives in ealdor
and sent her son to camelot thinking he'd be protected from the dirty
looks and prejudices that came with being a sorceror. there was only so
many excuses she could come up with as to why, whenever her son was angry,
it tended to storm. she knows, that if she ever needs help, her son is willing and,
with him, comes arthur.


D U D E S



UTHER PENDRAGON
forty eight, king, anthony head
once upon a time, uther was actually happy - i know
strange right? it was all because of igraine, his beloved
wife. now igraine was barren ie. she couldn't concieve a
child so, in an act of desperation, uther asked a sorceress
to help. but when you make a life, another has to die. so
to birth arthur, igraine died and, naturally, uther didn't take the
blame. in the next twenty years, he wiped magic pretty much off
the map and its not surprising many want him dead. he rules
camelot with an iron fist and if you're stupid enough to be caught
playing with magic, don't expect any mercy.


ARTHUR PENDRAGON
twenty one, prince, bradley james
the only heir to the throne of camelot, arthur is the
apple of his father's eye. he's brave, sarcastic and can
be a little bit of a prat at times but at least his heart's in
the right place and he would be willing to sacrafice everything for
his kingdom. arthur doesn't have many true friends. he
has his knights who are obliged to serve him and many
of the people he is seen with are there purely because
he's prince. as far as he's concerned, he only has two true
friends and that's his servant, merlin and morgana.


MERLIN
nineteen, manservant, colin morgan
born and raised in a small village across the border from camelot,
merlin grew up a free country boy. he never had to follow royalty until
his mother sent him to camelot, thinking he'd be safe from the prejudice against
magic. little did she know eh? after saving the prince's life, he was awarded
a place in the royal household and thus, became prince arthur's manservant.
the prince and his servant have become friends, always risking themselves
for each other and are usually seen bickering in the corridors.


GAIUS
seventy one, court physician, richard wilson
camelot bred through and through, gaius studied magic in his younger
years. when uther came to power and became king, gaius was one of
the few he spared, having been promised the older man would refrain from
using magic and instead, lend his brains to science and the curing of ails
using medicine. this, however, has not stopped him from helping his charge,
merlin, to realise his full potential and it is usually gaius who gets him out of tight
spots.


LANCELOT DU LAC
twenty three, rogue, santiago cabrera
lancelot's family were murdered during a bandit raid and, since then,
he'd dreamt of being a knight of camelot. but to be that, you must be a
noble - something which lancelot wasn't. with merlin's help, he faked his way
to becoming a knight but, in the end, he got found out and was imprisoned. he
was let out, only to beat the griffin that was terrorising camelot (with merlin's magic
of course) but, with the king's pardon, he chose to leave camelot - taking with him
merlin's secret.


THE GREAT DRAGON
unknown, advisor, john hurt
for twenty years, the dragon has been imprisioned far below camelot awaiting the arrival
of the young warlock who's destiny is entwined with the young pendragon's. whose destiny
will bring about the complete unification of albion. he is mysterious and sometimes infuriating,
taking pleasure in talking in riddles.

unknown, sorceror, david bowie
sarcastic and manipulative are just two of this man's main personality
traits. his powers are rival to those of both nimueh and merlin making
him a formidable threat against camelot. he was once a great believer
in king uther and even befriended the late queen but; after her death
sparked uther's hatred for magic; he fled from camelot after watching
his entire family burn. his hatred and anger towards the pendragon's
has been left to ferment for twenty years meaning he will do anything to
ensure uther finds out what it's like to watch a son burn.


---- ---- BUCKLEYHAM
thirty five, royal guard, ioan gruffudd
having spent most of his years in service making sure that nobody unsavoury entered the
castle's main door, this guard has seen (and turned away)
his fair share of people. since he spends most of his time standing infront
of a door looking bored, he has taken to leering at passing servants - uncaring
of their gender - and likes to pinch the young male servants arses. he has
been told time and time again to refrain from doing so from everyone including
the king but he hasn't yet.
