these are the characters that make up the majority of the plot. feel free to come and adopt one of them or, if you want, make an original - they're just as welcome.

make your character here. complete your app within a week or an admin will hunt you down and your app will be moved to the trash bin.

if you're in, then you are moved here. if you see it here then that means you're allowed to post wherever you want without fearing the admin's wrath.
do not post your applications here and think we won't notice.

you can apply for things your character might find neccessary to stay sane in the world. these are the things that help the site work.

friends, lovers, brothers, cousins twice removed on your mother's side; you name it. here is where you can keep a record.

advertise for a family member or friend here. there's no form to follow but please, give enough information for those thinking of claiming them.

we all love talking to our friends and this is the most direct way of doing it bar face to face conversation.
keep in mind, this should be used in character - the normal cbox is in the sidebar.

this is where you're site staff will discuss any future plots on the site before announcing them publically.

all old applications, relations and threads will be moved here by an admin when they're finished. please pm either merlin or zack when you're thread is done.

the entrance hall is the second busiest place in the castle. it is the main reception area for guests and with its many statues it makes a good hidding place. it's heavily guarded though as it's the passage way into the entire castle so watch out if you don't have permission to be here.

this is the most important room in the castle. audiences with the king are held here along with the dealing of state affairs. otherwise the king can usually be found in here in meetings or during meals. on special occasions it is converted into the Banquet Hall with a feast fit for a king.

gaius is the oldest and best physician in the land. his knowledge of all things medicinal has saved many lives in the past and will continue to do so. He is usually in here studying and brewing with Merlin or out and about in the realm. if you need any remedies for your ailments or herbs for your injuries this is the place to come, just drop by.


MERLIN'S ROOM

when the king is not in the throne room or out across the realm he can be found in his chambers, either studying or dealing with affairs of the state on his own. of course its guarded so make sure you knock before entering, the king doesn't take kindly to intruders.

as the kings son, arthur's chambers occupy the opposite wing of the castle. he can sometimes be found here but an appointment is usually wise for visitors as arthur is very busy learning the ropes as future king of the country. merlin can also sometimes be found here...attending to the prince.

lady morgana is treated as somewhat of a princess around the kingdom being the king's ward. her chambers are attended by her personal maid servant and friend gwen and this is where morgana can be found, especially in the evening.

guests and friends of the king or prince are shown the highest hospitality, with their own chambers and man servants. when they're not occupied however it's a 'free for all', making them ideal places for private meetings or even to host your own guests. just make sure you have someones permission...or just don't get caught.

it is full of talented cooks ready to rustle up some delicious and royal food at a moments notice. they are open to the beck and call of the castles inhabitants and with all the ingredients that the land has to offer you'll never be left wanting or hungry.

beware, commit a crime and you find yourself here. dark, dank, with chains on the wall and only rats for company this is not a place that you'll want to be spending the night...at least. it will most likely be the last place you stay unless you can slip the guard a few coins to turn a blind eye.

deep, deep...deeper...deeper...there under the castle, beyond the dungeons and where anyone dares to venture lives the great dragon. imprisoned years ago by uther when magic was 'wiped out', the dragon is kept here as a prisoner. merlin of course is his only visitor aside for the soliders with his food. if you're looking for a brain-teasing yet essential life changing riddle, this is the place to come.

the castle of camelot is a huge stone maze, with corridors connecting all of the rooms and passageways. each corridor is lined with statues and paintings, occasionally even guards. they're ideal place for one on one 'conversations' just make sure you can find your way around them.

of course a castle as great as camelot needs to have the shrubbery to match. an expanse of gardens filled with flowers, tree's and even a maze is the eye piece of the castle, viewable from the royal and guest chambers. they are perfect for a secluded moment or a relaxing stroll.

the knights of the realm and the more privileged occupants of the castle leave there horses here when they are not needed. they are well looked after by the stable hands...or merlin. the stables themselves are spacious, airy and with an ajoining field for well needed excercise when they are not being ridden.

probably one of the busiest place in the castle. everyone coming in and out of the pride of camelot passes through here, knights are seen to be assembling in times of crisis and criminals hung when they've been caught. its the perfect meeting place...just watch out for the guards.

every year, or sometimes even more frequently the bravest in the land come to compete for the title of champion in area's such as the sword and the joust. it is a very popular event, attended by all of camelot. currently arthur pendragon is the reigning champion and he isn't beaten easily...if at all.

the knights of the realm, and the soliders, are all trained and taught to fight here. there are daily fitness and defence classes to ensure the army stays sharp against any on coming threats.

though not everyone needs fine armour being knocked up for them and their stead, it is essential to have good quality materials for cooking, building and harvesting. once owned by gwen's father its now left to her and though being a women she will make you anything you might need, of strong quality and a very affordable price.

all the hustle and bustle of camelot town revolves around this square. catch up on the latest gossip, or meet with friends. sometimes events such as hangings or someone in the stocks takes place here and keep and ear out for notices from the castle.


THE STOCKS

ye olde pub...or more specifically a place to socialise and get drunk. the landlord is fairly accepting and allows all sorts into his pub. whether its a glass of slightly warm ale, or somebody to make you some illegal and magical armour, or even just a room to rent for the night, you're sure to find it here.

being a strict christian, church is an important part of everyday life. many people expect themselves to go in the morning, the evening and on sunday to pray for good health, a good crop, and maybe a nice man or woman to walk into their life...just don't let the priest in on those desires.

all the produce from local farmers, and a few from abroad is bought here to sell. they offer all the everyday essentials to sometimes some more..obscure items. this is many peoples living so keep an eye out for thieves who take opportunity of both buyers and sellers.

during the day these streets are full of children and adults, going about their daily buisiness. but during the evening it is not wise to venture some of the back streets after dark, unless your looking for a shady spot to meet in or someone to do your...less conventional bidding.

camelot is a huge city, with many people in the realm choosing to live here to be closer to the castle. the houses range from the very best two stories to the most meagre hovel that isn't suitable for pigs. the peasants and the rich dwell over the same stretch of land, though, walking down the street you can see it slowly decline from the good to the...not so good.

the whitewashed walls of camelot protect the castle and town from any attackers. it's also where the men and women of the night linger to sell their services to those who may seek them.

outside of the activity of the town square are the farms that provide the people of camelot with the majority of their food. there is still a small guard presence to keep the people safe but other than that they are free to live as the will. many farmers are very accomodating so if you're looking for some where to stay they will give it to you...for a small fee of money or labour of course.

far far...far away outside the realms of camelot and indeed any of its surrounding lands, across mountains, forests and lakes is the isle of the blessed. it is a truly magical place of the old religion and only those with knowledge of such dare come here. it is inhabited, or rather, you can find the sorceress nimueh. be careful what you ask of her though, as the price will always be heavy.

further from camelot, and outside of its safety as well are the woods. unless you have wish to be robbed or killed stay out of the woods at night, and the darker and murkier parts during the day. stick to the paths and don't venture in too deep...unless you have someone to protect you.

just on the outskirts of the woods, stretching east from camelot is a great lake. though it was traditionally used for fishing, it seems to have been abandoned since tales of something out of the ordinary came to head...dare you go back?

slightly further out from the woods is ealdor, merlin's home village. prince arthur has visited once to protect the villagers after a denial of help by king uther. since then the village has remained under the prince's watchful eye, for the sake of merlin's friends and family.

over the border of camelot are outlying village belonging to other lords of the land. though much similar to those in camelot, the people can be very different. not everyone is welcoming to travellers from other places so watch your step amongst the strangers.

a wonderful place to post a thread or two about various different things. movies, books or even what you're doing at the weekend.
