Fucking windows Vista refuses to boot, when booting normally, it freezes on the loading screen. When booting in safe mode, it freezes while loading crcdisk.sys.

I left my restore cd's in new hampshire, so I can't restore/repair it with that anytime soon.

I'm currently downloading xp tablet edition on the comptuer at work, so hopefully I'll be up and running soon.

So, don't be surprised if you don't see me on till I get it fixed, and I've probably lost some of the coding I've been working on, though not all, cause I was also working on it on a different computer, which has no internet access.

#1: you shouldn't be using vista
#2: you should stop buying computer parts made by the Chinese, you get what you pay for.

It's likely that Perrin is rough on his computers as well, especially if they spend most of their time in his bag or on his lap.

He needs to be buying hardware that fap-proof, ie, be able to stand up to all the hard fapping he does.

Fap Fap Fap Fap.

dont take the advise of the zero knowledge here.

vista didnt cause the problem. no matter how much u would love to think so. theres a reason that now 80% of PC users are using Vista. (without any problem). its been long proven that vista is solid and any problem is user error. it doesn't just "screw up" for no reason.

get yourself a vista cd and run the repair.. the vista repair will repair must anything in a few minutes.

i dont think perrin ever blamed vista though.. i think hes smarter than that. only thing he said about vista was that it refuses to boot. well im sure theres a good reason.

Vista is just like every operating system before it. You do anything wrong and it all comes crashing down. I think why people like XP and not Vista is simply because they have learned through trial and error how to keep XP from crashing.

I like vista when it works, but on rare occasion it just doesn't boot properly, as if it forgets to finish loading everything and just hangs for a while.

An aside: I've a laugh for you Miner, PM me if you'd like to hear it.

Oh just tell it here, I'm making eggs over medium on English muffins, sealed with Munster cheese, Cajun sprinkle and lightly dusted with salt and pepper, or I would PM you, or you can just send it my way.

Ah, I had another chuckle or two this morning from Skippy. #'s 124-126, 165 I heard jokingly, and 200 is interesting.

For those of you confused, we're talking about Skippy's list, an Army antics blog, of sorts. http://skippyslist.com/list/ They've a chemistry list as well, but it's very inside.

An excerpt:

145. I should not drink three quarts of blue food coloring before a urine test.
146. Nor should I drink three quarts of red food coloring, and scream during the same.

I had a dream last night that my brother flew in on my birthday as a surprise, and instead of canceling plans for a drunken night of dancing, we took him along, much to his shock. I seem to recall a pool party in there as well, but that detail fades.

A better dream would be you showing up at my door with a notice invoking the third amendment.

Oh dear, we need no amendment with consent, but I'll show up in uniform and play along.

Just replace Sony with Microsoft, and piece of shit with Vista.
Just a bit of foul language.

Yeah, it's user error when an operating system refuses to boot... That makes sense...

What the hell do you think I did, Seth, delete system files or something? At least then I'd get a message saying a file was missing or something...

No, thats not what happened, here is what did:

Windows Explorer stopped responding while I was trying to launch Internet Explorer so I could check my bank balance. Since Windows Explorer crashes all the fucking time, I already knew that it was faster to restart the computer than deal with the fucking task manager. So I held the power switch until the screen went black, than flicked it to turn the computer back on. Seconds later it informed me that windows was not shut down properly, and asked if I would like to resume where I had left of. Since there was not an option for "NO you fucking retarded operating system, I left you in a fucking frozen state, I want you to start over at a point where you work!" I chose the resume option. Seconds later it was frozen on the loading screen.

Again, I tried to reboot the machine, this time in safe mode with networking, but it locked up on crcdisk.sys, I did the same in each option of safe mode, all having the same results. I even left the fucking computer in the frozen boot up state for over 48 hours thinking maybe, MAYBE, it'll finally figure out what the fuck it did wrong and fix it. But no, it still won't boot.

Now, I've downloaded XP Tablet Edition and tried to boot from the cd, but it won't boot from the fucking cd. That is probably my fault though, I probably didn't burn the disc right. I'm gonna call my mother and find out if she has found my vista disc and mailed it to me yet before I bother trying to install regular XP without the tablet features.

That happened when my power went out without a surge protector. I had to delete and recreate the raid array in the BIOS and reinstall windows.

perrin i dont mean user error as in u may have specifically done something to trigger this cause ur dumb with computers... but something was done somewhere along the line to start off this issue.. whether its hardware or software, i dont have enough info to go on. but thats not the point

whats the reason ive never had a single issue with vista and its on 4 computer in the room im in right now. ive been using it for almost 3 years on all these systems. seems to me if there was something wrong with vista id experience some form of VISTA SUCKS issue.

Whats the reason anyone compplains about vista "screwing up" and brign their computer in to me to repair, and i proove to them every single time that it was user error, or hardware error and not VISTA.

How stupid do u really think m$ is? their operating system is quite successful and after 3 years of service packs and auto updates its absolutely STUPID to think that Microsoft hasn't ensured that vista is rock solid.

but quite the contrary vista is a solid operating system and the only complaints ill accept regarding vista being the problem with vista is the following. which are the only known ACTUAL issues of vista.

- Slow USB 2.0 transfers on files over 3 GBs.

- Extremely slow network transfer speed of larger files between vista and vista on the network..

otherwise its completely solid.

pull your heads out of your asses. the benifit of vista FAR FAR outweigh XP and that has been long proven.

Run XP if your computer was intended to run XP.

fade i offered my advise on technical support..

insert Vista CD.. hit repair installation, wait less than 10 minutes.. computer is fixed. Then figure out whatever fucked it up in the first place.

again operating systems (non of them, vista included) will not just stop working for no reason.. there is always a reason.

Correct me if i've missed something, but the vista bashing is pretty light in here. Contrast this with the Perrin bashing now.
