Are you fucking serious? You gave it to geek squad to do something that takes like 5 minutes to do?

Seriously? You can't change your own graphics card. Let this be a lesson to you with all the ridicule you will receive here.

How much was your bill for their service?

Couldn't be less than $60, I'm sure. Probably bought the card from them too at a bloated price.

Next time, get a non-magnetic screw driver, shop online, and install the thing yourself. There's usually only one fucking place to plug a video card into, and then you plug the screen into it, and boot up the comp, then load the drivers, and done!

Since i dont have permission to start a new topic ill just use the end of yours :P

My Computer is having problems with my Geforce 6600 256 Graphics card(agp). The screen goes blank during games(around 1-5 minutes of playing) but the computer does not switch off, it works fine when you reboot it until you try launching the game.
Ive tried reinstalling the driver for it twice with no luck and even reinstalling windows xp in case of a deeper software error.

On the first day i got it, I was able to play for 5-6 hours without any hassles, the second day It started to stuff up with kotor2 -.-
I hope some one can find a solution lol
Windows xp sp3
2 gigs ram
Celtron D 2.8 ghz

Yeah. The driver from the disc always works. The one from the website typically has problems with it.

actually exactly the opposite of what sky just said.

The drivers from the website are the most up to date drivers possible for your product

newer drivers always include performance enhancements, bug fixes and constant tweaking from the original driver set.

Remove the old driver entirely first before installing the newer one.

delete the nvidia folder as well prior to installing the new driver.

otherwise , check heat. see if the fan on the video card is still spinning freely.

immediately after it crashes check the temperature to see if its overheating.
