Well, I saw arms has his admin again, oh well, thanks for trying. With so many retards as admins, it seems these kids can do whatever they want, and at most they get a slap on the wrist and their admin back. I guess they just won't be happy until tribes is completely dead. I imagine their logic is that if they run off all the good players, they will be the best. The tribes community is so overrun with immature idiots, I guess there is just no solution at this point. I'm sick of gettin admin abused by guys like frank and arms, who are cheaters, but for whatever reason are trusted with admin. I mean frank has been abusing people ever since he got his admin, which I remind you was right after he got unbanned for hming. I can't even get help from Crow to control his goobers, and I thought he and I were buddies. I thought he was tryin to clean up oz, but considering he lets frank hm, and admin abuse everyone, not much seems to have changed. Makes me wonder why he would risk losing the caliber of player of Wiseman or Blaze, only to let a noob like frank hm.

Part of the problem with br server is that owner is either a moron or just doesn't care. I couldn't get owner to kick tomato yesterday. I had the highest score on my team, had set ALL the D, and made all the caps. Apparently that wasn't enough for owner to believe me that tomato was doing all his typical bs, as he said he would not kick tomato unless he saw it himself, and after all my ranting tomato knew he was being watched and stopped.

This game used to be about teamwork and skill, but because all these broke and unintelligent people with nothing else to do have made it their "timekiller", it has become a fuckin joke. I guess it's time to buy a ps3 and learn games that these wastes of lives cannot afford to play.

You need to record demos like S']['U and share em as evidence of what you are complaining about, such as being abused by frank and arms. Don't announce that you are recording, just record them fucking with you and then send it to Kamil or Seth or I and we'll handle it. If you can catch people HMing in the recording too, great. The more evidence, the better.

Personally, I believe you, however, without evidence to back you up, someone is just going to undo my admin actions, which is what has been going on... Everyone I've stripped recently, had their admin back the next day.

95% of these admins just want it as a status symbol and to use as a weapon against guys they dislike. I have never seen such bad adminning as in the br server in the last couple months.

The leaders of the clans need to take responsibility for their dumbass clanmmates. I mean look at all the complaints against frank on the oz forum, how does that idiot still have admin? And why would any ls get admin? They don't even have anyone responsible in their clan to make sure they are acting legitimately. You sound like frank, claiming to be a legit player, but we all know you guys are just cheats who were forced to play legit, or not play at all because you were banned from the server.
You will never be a respected player of this game, becuase you do not have the innate competitiveness that drives most of us to improve. If you were truely a competitive person, you would never want to use a cheat, because that would not give you an accurate assessment of your ability.

I took LS Arms's admin, somehow he got it back. I took it again. He contacted me on xfire, we talked for a bit. I gave it back but told him I'd be watching.

My official stance on HM is that I don't care. I would prefer that you didn't use it, but I am not going to kick or ban anyone who I think is using it nor will I deal with admin abuse complaints about people who are kicked or banned by other admins for HMing. It is impossible to detect it while we play, and I can own most everyone who uses it anyway, so what ever, I don't care. I'm still not using it myself though.

In arms spent Saturday kicking me for no reason, and kicking me immediately upon signing on, until higher admins joined. The majority of your clan are loudmouth punks, with no skill or class. So, if you want respect from me, you better make sure your clan is showing me some. If not, we can continue on they way we are.

I simply said, one time, ya Shift is a hmer, which you are, whether or not you were actually using it at that moment. I actually told him to just play at one point. i honestly don't care if anyone believes me or not about using hm or w.e it goes back to when i was in oz and blaze and wise used to train me. we used hm openly and i always used it in elite ren and ultra ren so i never thought that you weren't supposed to use it. it always seemed as a case of hypocracy everyone like some admins use it but they lie about it. after a while it felt redundant so i became one of the few who were open about it. and i always argued the fact that if you wanted hmers out of the server then you would use lasthope or fox. eventually i got banned for my "irrational behavior" on hm use. over time i wanted to play everyone again after being banned i apologized to bong first course that didn't go too well. so then i got pissed wrote some shit I didn't mean (like many of us do). i gave myself some time to get used to what i now saw was called "fog" lol. after some time of playing legit i decided to ask owner again practically begging him. and a few other favors that I'm not particularly proud of... point being its a game play how you want but don't cheese it up. happy modding was gay i never hid it and i took every available shot witch wasn't fair at all. anyway i have some gardening to do :lol:

Ok I'm a little uninformed here, so I'm only going to put i my 1 cent vs. 2 cents.

I am a Tribes forever type, have been playing since its release in 1998.
I have been playing daily for the past few months, at home recovering from a heart attack. It has helped rehab my left arm, and the tactical nature of the game really help regain the memory loss i suffered.
I have no real complaints to speak of. I think the map rotation is awesome with the exception of constantly having to play Blastside in one form or another, and the energy bar on the tank is way to slow to recharge.
When I first started playing daily I almost quit because of the autoaimers the first 10 days, but i either made a post or spoke to Bong in Xfire and it went away 95 % almost immediately and it is very much appreciated.

So I want to talk about 2 things, 1. What I saw today & 2. Jerry

1. When I logged in today, the second I connected the first thing I saw on chat was Hotrod [oz] (sry if thats a typo) discipling Shift for something that happened before I arrived. Some others who were playing chimed in with a ? about hm & whatever shift had done b4 i arrived. Well a minute later he posted the internet hyperlink on where to download happymod (www.dfclan.org/downloads/happymod yada yada something close to that. Well that really pissed off Hotrod and he told him never to post that again. So if Shift is now rehabilitated y is he being disciplined by an admin & y would he post the hyperlink advertising how to get it to all players, because if they downloaded & used it, they would get into trouble?

2. Jerry Garcia - Jerry has been our m8 for years now, where's the fucking respect??? He is a great player and I simply dont understand why he isnt an admin, or why if he makes a complaint on whatever topic is bothering him that we don't assume he is 100% accurate vs. telling him to take movies or pics & submit them? It's Jerry for God's sake. I'll make you an offer, give him my admin rights & take mine away. I don't remember my password & I have no real issues with anyone, I just want to play. So give mine to Jerry & it will make the server stronger & fairer. Remember theres only a hundred or two Tribes forever soles left on the planet Earth, let's not fuck it up & drive the quality players away!

The reason Jerry does not have admin is because he doesn't get along with 90% of the people who do have admin.

I need proof of their abuse so I can permanently strip their admin privileges, or they will be restored the moment they realize I stripped it and go complaining to someone else with admin. Or lie and say their IP address changed and they should have admin again...

Almost everytime I play, some player that I barely know from posting on so many clan forums whispers to me that they're IP address changed, so can I give it back to them... NO... No I don't give out admin to anybody except bongwater. He's the only person I have admined since I was given admin myself, and he was actually still on the admin list under a different IP address.

The other people who told me their IP addresses had changed, were not on the list at all, or they were on the list as not being an admin, meaning someone had stripped their admin intentionally.

So, obviously, they try the same bullshit on other more gullible admins who go ahead and add them to the list.

Personally, I think BR Owner should be owner admin, bongwater and I should be god, and everyone else should be super, public or safe... I hate how the admin list changes every fucking day because so many stupid idiots have god admin.

I trust many of the people who currently have admin to properly admin the server themselves, but I do not trust any of the people that THEY choose to add to the list. But I really can't stop them from adding people to the list without showing them proof that the person they admined is an asshole.

Also, I have very little faith in Jerry's self control when it comes to retaliating against all the people who very likely do currently abuse him, which is why I would make him safe, but not give him admin powers, but strip the assholes admin powers completely if I could ensure that they wouldn't get it back almost immediately.

Oh, and you never had a password for admin on Annihilation BR... It has never been configured with passwords, because BR Owner rightfully believes that people would simply share their passwords.

Hah, as if he's more of a hothead than anyone else. 2002 is long gone, rational admins don't exist when you're entrusting 14 year olds. That TL Flash guy I saw the other day was an appaling choice.

I agree with you completely. When the server is near capacity, or I am on for a long shift and many come & go I do see not only how many admins there are but how many god etc... people there are.
The high ranking people are supposed to be managers so let's manage.

Petition BR Owner via email for a refreshed admin list. Clearly explain why and who you think should and should not have the ability to edit the admin list due to the current situation where no one can be removed because someone just puts them right back on the list.

Honestly, I believe that if I were to go down the list and remove all of the god admins except bong and myself, BR Owner himself would give it back to at least 2 people, who I'm sure would turn around and issue god admin to at least 3 other people each, and we'd be back where we started.

Only if Kamil understands AND agrees with us, will a spring cleaning of the admin list be successful.

I have often thought about "breaking" the ability for god admins to edit the admin list in one of the "fixes" i send Kamil, but that would be dishonest, and if he realized it, he would either simply restore the old file or stop trusting me completely, and he would be right to stop trusting me if I pulled a stunt like that. So I haven't. Not only that, but I would be preventing bong and my own ability to update the admin list if I did that, thereby creating a new set of problems.

How about go back to the old fashioned way and require the server to restart before new god admins are enabled. Might put a dent in the impulsive actions.

Well we could of course play in a different server? I mean, I dont think you guys have any up right now, OZ doesn't either, but (=SK=) servers are always up. We only have one Anni 3 right now, and an Anni Base (1.31) and Paintball server.

Everyone appreciates Perrinoia's work trying to make some changes for the better in BR servers, but I'm sure it is pretty frustrating doing all this shit just to have it changed back. If we really tried to take it to another server, I think the (=SK=) servers would be good for that, because we all know each other here, we won't allow Admin to run out of control, we would be in charge of the server, and therefore wouldn't have to deal with frustrating changes all the time. The server could be modded to how we agree, and stay that way.

I've been talking to Zig-Zag lately and he is going to give me more access to the servers. I'm sure we could host two Anni 3 versions instead of the varied above. I had to reset the servers the other day because of bad ping's, but after that everyone who has come in so far has had under 100 ping (with the exception of one LS member today who had a terrible connection, 200-300 ping).

I'll need some help making some changes to the servers however, such as newer exploit/hax fixes, and making some of the changes Perrinoia envisioned in the BR server, my favorite being the switch back to older railgun.


Also we have a wide array of maps that we would be willing to give to BR Owner or whoever else is hosting an annihilation server and wants some great maps. I don't really ever talk to Owner, so I don't know if he would be interested in adding some maps to his servers..

Well, Owner wants to be the only Owner admin, which makes sense to me, since it's his server. However, if it weren't his server, I wouldn't even imagine he'd had public admin. He simply doesn't need and doesn't use admin. The only thing he uses it for is to appoint other admins.

What I think I will do, is prevent God admins from appointing other God admins... I don't know why that is allowed... It's stupid. Only Owners should be allowed to assign god admin. I'll see if Owner will go for that, and also ask him to clean up the admin list after that change has been made.

I just think it sucks that everyone who plays Anni plays in the BR servers. I mean it's cool that they do, because Anni still has the largest player base in Tribes in a single server, but it sucks having to play in a server where there are things people don't like about it, but that don't get changed.

It's like Annihilation has become synonomous with BR. Which sucks, because like you remember, Annihilation has changed a shitload, and in my opinion, changed for the worst. Of course, you're right, there is no way we could get this Anni community to revert to 1.31. I mean shit, It'd even take me a while to get used to it again- no zippy invos, relearning how to set good defense using teamwork.

Now I'm gonna rant a little bit about Anni 3. :D

I think a major problem of the pitchfork is that it completely removes that need for teamwork to set nice defense quickly, and put it into one mans hands.. Even if that man is a complete noob at setting d. But not many today would play without it.

I think we've talked about the particle accelerator before. I don't know exactly how that would play out in Anni 3, what with the jumppad shooting you up and forward, but I've thought it might be nice to have it for indoor tunnel-like maps; Where a jumppad is pointless beacuse you would just hit the roof and slow down anyways.

I despise the newer railgun. It shoots way to slow, and takes energy. It is a response to pussies who got owned. But of course there were plenty other good (hell, even decent) players that could kill a builder in 1.31 without much difficulty. People bitched that the way the builder was in 1.31 was a own-all armor. Thats bullshit. And I hate the fact that the Tank is lighter and has more energy than the Builder. It's a fucking tank, it's supposed to be heavy and slow. Sigh.

Unfortunately, not many left in tribes are as rational or intelligent as you, which is the whole problem.

I will say, for the record, Bong and Perrin have always been very helpful to me, and are the only 2 leaders I really trust if I have a serious problem. I wish <!>7Liter were less busy, he is smart and rational as well, but never anywhere to be found.

I have stopped playing because it's not fun to be constantly and falsly harassed for "cheating", especially by fucking cheaters or at least former cheaters, but I will try to play some this weekend. I do miss playing with many of you guys. :D

Got some free time tonight everyone. I will be playing as Jerry, but I have a new ip.

My skills have atrophied, most notably my speed in the D building and quick accurate aim departments. Normally it takes a week or so to build back up to a useful degree, 2-3 weeks of daily playing and most of my muscle memory is in place and D gets built spot on in a flash..

Between college, work, and the girl its hard to have time to get back into it... I haven't logged in for months... But hey, if you want, I'll throw down some beers and we can make a night of it soon if you like.
