Godwin's law in 3. Ben Stein made a movie to respond to Bill Maher in Religulous, which was excellent btw.
Matrixo2 - December 5, 2009 04:38 AM (GMT)
I was beginning to wonder when you guys would have new forums.
(=SK=)Zorak - December 7, 2009 04:53 AM (GMT)
You mean Expelled? I liked that and I liked Religulous, especially when Bill Maher is smoking a joint with the dude in Amsterdam and the guys hair gets caught on fire.. Then as Bill Maher gets up to help him brush it off he says, "Oh look, another joint!"

on a more serious note everyones concept of religion is different and various. The fact that there are many different religions shows us that everyones perception of Christ is different and biased were people like atheist would be more comfortable knowing that what they do wrong will have no payback or collateral damage. whether anyone can ... See Moreverify this or not there is SOMETHING out there that we can only define though things like miracles or "luck". There are some things we can't explain and will never be able explain and would best be left unknown. Ever heard of "Devinne Intervention"?
Perrinoia - December 7, 2009 09:18 PM (GMT)
I wish the devine would intervene on your grammar!
(=SK=)Zorak - December 8, 2009 04:44 AM (GMT)
More serious? The movie is called "Religulous", I think a pretty fitting title.
But to get serious, that was a terrible thing to say:

The fact that there are other religions shows that people
dont have the same perception. Other religions don't worship "Christ", they have their own completely seperate entities and belief systems that have nothing to do with the story of Jesus Christ or the beliefs of Christianity.
And even if all or atleast most religions, had similar entities who were just percieved differently through different cultures, Christ would not be the original. There were many pagan gods before Christ with the exact same features: born of a virgin on Dec. 25, walked on water, were called 'lamb of god' 'the light' 'the one' 'savior', crucified then buried in a tomb and resurrected after 3 days, had 12 disciples, and theres probably more. I just found a quick site with some of the people and similarites,
all before Christ, but there may be more too, I just dont feel like lookin more stuff up right now. It's pretty interesting stuff.
http://www.rockhawk.com/other_relegions_before_christ.htmI don't have an issue with religion, people can think whatever they want to think, I just think ignorant faith is ridiculous, and if you believe so strongly in something as you must with religion (for it controls your fate and you don't wanna end up in hell, right  ) you should know a bit more about it than just the shit on the surface.

who the hell is omega
are u talking about the dude that hm's all the tme or the one on these forums!? how many damn omega's are there aaaaah
Perrinoia - December 27, 2009 06:41 PM (GMT)
There are a few. The one in these forums hasn't played since before HM was a problem, practically.
Miner - December 28, 2009 04:23 PM (GMT)
HM isn't a problem is it, I though you guys allowed it?
(=SK=)Zorak - December 28, 2009 06:51 PM (GMT)
It's a problem because noobs use it in servers where it's not allowed. [df] set up a HM-allowed server and one where it is not allowed. Unfortunately people don't want to play where it's allowed, they continue to use it in public servers.
Miner - December 28, 2009 06:58 PM (GMT)
If everyone is HMing in one server, then you have no advantage. However, when going into a server where HMing is prohibited, they gain an advantage.
Sounds like cat and mouse games to me.
Ninetails - December 28, 2009 10:51 PM (GMT)
Sigh just make punk buster mandatory, PB is soo effective ...its bans your serial key. Oh wait TRIBES doesn't have a serial key anymore...Sorry..
vistalize - December 28, 2009 11:02 PM (GMT)
it never did by my knowledge, the first one anyway. i know tribes 2 did
Perrinoia - December 29, 2009 04:00 AM (GMT)
Tribes 2 sucked so bad because of it's cd key restrictions. I was never able to use my legitimately purchased copy of Tribes 2, but I can fucking download it today even though it's long past been forgotten by everyone I wanted to play against.
HM is allowed in many servers, and many mods... It is not generally allowed in Annihilation mod, though there are one or 2 annihilation mod servers that allow it.
There are no servers that prevent it. Some try, but there are bypasses available to those who want them bad enough.
I have basically given up playing the guessing game and wielding the ban hammer half hazardly about like a whisky dick.
Now I just jokingly accuse anyone who shoots me of hacking, and try to win regardless of whether I really do think they are cheating or not.
