HP desktops are fine, I bought one, and it runs fairly well. I did have to replace the video card after two years, but it's fine now.

I bought one in 2004, it's still my main vessel, I would buy another HP.... But it has had some troubles over the years. SP2 and SP3 cause it to become unstable, so I run Sp1 only and never do any updates.

Im up and allmost running.Need a patch for vista ??

Several of them exist for tribes. Whether or not they will work for you is impossible to predict.

i red alot and googled tryed it no go .On my copy of tribes it's 1.8 i have a copy of 1.8 to 1.11 but i get some kind of error. Is there a easy way to fix it.

try just using this rather than a tribes disk to install

Ok so far i downloaded the zip file put it in a folder on desktop.
sounds dumb but now what to do .There is a button at the top that says exract all.

extract it whereever u want.. make a folder called tribes and extract it in there.

the zip contains an already installed already updated version of tribes

Made a folder on desktop extract the zip file in it now have a folder with
17 file folders - base -config -recordings- temp -console.cs -infinitspawn and so on

Those are all the folders with files in them that are needed to run Tribes. When in the main folder scroll down till you find a Tribes.exe, then create a shortcut and put it on your desktop.

I GOT IT TO WORK. found a patch thru bong in the df search and some un zip program drop it in to the tribes folder and it works . open the gl made the screen bigger ..
i was starting to thnk i would not work. Bong i will go on xfire if you need to change my ip address

One little thing wnen i set gl open and screen size and press aply i play but when i leave and come back they change back to factore setting.
No big deal just have to set it each time.
