“From the ashes of cruelty he shall come. From the depths of hell he will rise. Those who were responsible for his death will be punished, the old prophet warned the king. “He will come out of the fires you created and seek revenge.”
The king paid no attention. He knew that the man he killed would never come back.
A single decade passed…
There reports being given to this king that some sort of creature was destroying supply caravans and military outposts. Even one of the king’s three sons was slain. The king remembered the words of the prophet…that a man would rise from the depths of hell to seek revenge. It appeared that that time had now come.
Petrified, the king sent his entire army out searching for this demon. Not one man returned. Then one day, not 2 weeks after the slaughter of the king’s army, the great oak doors of the king’s palace shattered into millions of small fragments. Standing there was the demon; a vicious looking creature who wielded a mighty blade.
The king rushed in the room, dreading what he might see. There were no guards to protect him, no army so save him. This great demon had slain them all. and now it had come for the king. “Adrindo…” the king whispered. Fear clutched at his heart. The demon standing before him was Adrindo, a once proud and holy knight sentenced to death by the king for crimes the king himself did.
“I have come to seek revenge for what you did to me” the demon said, sending a chill up the king’s spine. The demon grasped his sword and brought it down upon the king. Blood stained the floor and the walls of the palace entrance. The demon slipped back into the shadows and darkness. Never to be seen
Now two years have past and the demon has resurfaced, taking on a new name: Azael

Looks like one of my stories.

You have great potential if you made it yourself happy.gif and if not, well, you made quite a research to find it. dry.gif

HEY! i came up with this story! granted, it is quite cliche, but i made up the story about an hour before i posted it! the only reason it sounds familiar is because it is dreadfully cliche.

That story was fantastic, and an excellent portrayal one who should be called August. I love that word, and you did a great job catching the mood it implies.

I look forward to hearing about the triumphs and downfalls of Siak, The August Knight!

War had come. everywhere there were people dying and starving to death. so much suffering. Azael walkled down a small path deep in the grand city of Anyet. people were huddled in groups to keep warm as the cruel winter air ate away at their bodies.
"help us" they would say to the demon, not knowing what he truly was.
somewhat touched by the amount of suffering around him, Azael travelled to the palace located in the center of the decaying city.
anger and pure hatred flooded his heart and burned in his eyes when he stepped inside. there, in the great entrance hall, was none oher than lord Ashke, son of the king Azael had slaughtered two years before.
a surprised look of fear appeared on the plump lord's face, but it didn't last long. he smirked and snapped his fingers. instantly, a hundred soldiers filed into the enormous entrance room of the palace. they surrounded Azael, who by now had his sword drawn. this one was different though. it was long and thin, unlike the giant of a blade he used to kill the king two years before.
all the lord saw was the twitch of Azael's beautiful sword. each of the soldiers fell to the ground, sliced in half completly.
"i will let you live for now" azael growled at the terrified lord. "but when i come back, the people of this city better be in good condition. no starvation, do unnecessary death. and if i come back to see any of that, you will die. slowly and painfully."
before the lord could say anything, Azael spread out the huge wings on his back and took off, crashing through a window on the way out. he dissapeared into the darkness of the night.
"so the August Knight has returned" whispered the lord. "may god save us"
